It's not great. It's cheap, and it's charming with its visual style and some of the silliness, but the combat itself is simply too loose to be enjoyable. Overall the biggest problem is just the severe lack of animation - enemies have very few "tells" for their attacks (which the game tries to counteract by having an icon pop up when the enemy "readies" an attack), and the same goes for your own character, with some weapons attacking slowly but with no visual indication of when you can attack again, leading to a feel similar to a game actively lagging. Enemies also deal WAY too much damage later on, or at least I couldn't find a way to mitigate it sufficiently, with it not being uncommon to simply get one-shotted by random mooks. And coupling that with enemies seemingly getting no stun / stagger from you hitting them AND the general lack of animation leads to often-frustrating combat encounters where it's very unclear when you can actually attack without getting bonked.

Great little bite sized Souls-like, clearly made with a lot of love. The game has some pretty big issues (most of which being bugs) but for the price it is well worth your time.
