💫🌀 SUM MARY 🌀💫

💬 Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station is a game where the acrobatic movement system is even more juicy now, enriched by new combat mechanics (there's nothing better than shooting some robots!), and the new architecture of levels that encourages exploration and checking every corner of the station.

💬 It's be densely packed with skirmishes, jumping, collecting upgrades, and mediocre jokes! In short: we want to deliver modern Metroidvania in VR!

💬 Not only that! On our next acrobatic adventure, we will be accompanied by our faithful companion controlled by artificial intelligence - Alsha. Her voice will guide us through new challenges, helping us survive in difficult situations and giving us encouragement when needed.
A Love-Hate Relationship with This Sequel
I’ve never craved playing a game so much while being equally frustrated by it. The core gameplay from the first game is still great, but it’s hampered by new design choices that make the experience more tedious than it should be. For starters, the objectives are misleading, practically guaranteeing you’ll get lost at least two or three times. The game constantly has you traverse the entire map just to press a button—showing little respect for your time. The risk-reward balance feels off. Playing it safe is dull, but playing aggressively is punishing due to the sparse checkpoints. And don’t even get me started on the rooms with the purple stuff — what’s the point of the latest Pick Your Challenge update if a third of the map has no floor, forcing you into constant, frustrating falls? I never had any real trouble with enemies despite having 3/5 health upgrades and the end. Combat is a nice addition, but the cl...

The rocket mod (nozzles) you get partway through the game is activated via grip which is really frustrating for Index controllers. Couldn't remap the controllers so I just rage quit.

Constant shutters in VDXR (OpenXR) and very jelly head rotation movements in SteamVR make the game unplayable (tried lower resolutions and lower framerates, on/off spacewrap – nothing changed). Never has simmilar issue with other games. Also, it localized to every Earth language except Russian and it's not sold in Russia. It insults me personally and considering the Soviet style it just feels absurd. Pity I bought the game a long time ago and have no possibility to refund. I have literally no reasons to reccomend the game I can't even play. I really doubt devs give a fuck on this and will fix shutters

A MUST HAVE This game (and its predecessor) is all you need for a fun and interactive experience. In the beginning your gonna have some trouble getting around. But once you speed through your first obstacle tunnel? OH MAN is that fun! They really nailed down the swinging and grapple physics. If you get vertigo easily i highly suggest you get this game! Either you pass out/ vomit onto your floor, OR get used to playing games in vr while you have the best time of your life. The story side of things is great too! Spoilers: The mystery is pretty easy to figure out but that doesn't mean the commentary is boring. Lot's of jokes and banter to make sure you dont feel alone while swinging from place to place. Speaking of commentary, the A.I. you are accompanied with is a great addition and reminds me of the portal series. Overall 10/10 and would love to see more from these creators. (it would be an 11/10 if they made the "purple tunnels' a bit less stressful)

I recommend this game but I HATE THE COMBAT! Swinging around a metroidvania style station is GREAT, dodging obstacles, switching between movements modes, all amazing. Now, what if you need to do all that at once AND shoot at tiny flying robots? It's just too much. Even with everything set to easy, the combat just stops the fun all at once for me. It just feels like a hectic mess and everything I do in combat feels like luck rather than skill. Enduring the combat is worth it, tho, the rest of the game shines. (Oh wait, the AI narrators are way too chatty and annoying, but you can turn their volume to zero and switch off subtitles to effectively erase them from the game, thank god).

had to do a mapping overhaul for index controllers which was rage inducing because it's practicaly trying random things and checking if it helps. grip to do anyting exept picking stuff up is insane. also I'm lost. I know what my next objective is but I don't know where it is.

The game was a blast to play, the fast combat was a refreshing change from the previous game. I did however find it unfortunate the game lacks any challenge mode like the previous did. Something like an arena combat mode where people try to destroy the drones really fast would be cool. It's also a shame the game hasn't made enough profit to show up in my profile since I 100% completed it.
