About This Game

Updog is a fast-paced 3D platforming game about reaching the heavens on a homemade raft, or as close to them as you can get. Collect crates to power your raft and balloons to balance it, all while learning the advanced movement the game has to offer. Find rare golden doors to get access to challenge rooms where you can put your movement to its test and earn unique rewards. As the raft gets higher the challenge increases, can you keep your dog going up?

Updog is an extremely fun and addictive game. Got to spend some time with the devs to learn some of their thought process, and they seem ready to change things/fix bugs super quickly! Also - I am currently the world record holder with a score of 1347M, let me know if you beat my score!

Disclaimer - I helped develop Updog. We started working on this game during the Ludum Dare 50 Game Jam, and we all thought we had something special. We spent a good bit more time to try and get this game to the way we saw it in our heads originally, and we're really happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it!

I like the premise of Updog, however there are a lot of problems that hopefully get iron'd out. 1. The progression saving doesn't work (for me) as of today, I was not unlocking the rest of the game. Needs a fix ASAP. (I got to unlock more of the game with help from one of the devs.) EDIT: Apparently, it works for most people. 2. Once I "unlocked" more features of the game, I will say that the brown fuel crates do not feel worth going after, because they are only worth 2 fuel tokens. I needed 8 fuel, and it was way more efficient to just focus on the resources that spawn near the flying raft. 3. I cannot play the game in Windowed mode, or choose which monitor that it full screens in. 4. A little more information given to the player would be nice. Like: - By attaching multiple balloons how much time does this corner have? - My grapple is disabled in this challenge room, but I didn't know it was turned off. - There is a goal to get as high as possible to unlock things, bu...

So what's Updog? Nothing much, how 'bout you? Updog is a very cute game with a simple premise - keep your raft going up and have fun doing it. Hop from cloud to cloud and collect the necessary balloons and crates to do so. That simple premise, combined with the wacky physics puzzle-esque aspect of it really appeals to me. That said, it is not without its own issues, which is to be expected from a small team's first game. The first thing one might notice is that it's a very floaty game as far as controls go; I've been told this isn't as much of or an issue at all if you go at it with mouse and keyboard, I've been playing with a controller myself. Secondly, it is a tad buggy from time to time, occasionally you might notice a crate spawning inside of a cloud due to the way the map generates, which isn't a big deal but is certainly notable. In addition, it may feel a little opaque at first, with the control scheme not being described to the player outside of the options menu. I do not f...

Wow whoever did the art for 180-Sadie in this game must be a talented pixel art billboard artist. Jk it was me! Fun working on this game with you fellas - looking forward to the plethora of releases we will be doing in the future. Cheers!

This is a cute retro feel 3D platforming challenge. With precise controls to master, I'll be curious how high I can make it! Definitely has an addicting skill curve as I start to get the hang of handling 180 Sadie. The are of the sprite is also real cute.
