This is just another vampire survivors-like game, but it's different. The aiming mechanics really make it stand out for me, it adds some challenge rather than just relying on luck. Very much enjoyed it, but it's a shame that the dev just disappear when there is a teaser that showed a very promising update :(

Unbalanced, tedious, visually unclear. Visual clutter is the biggest problem of this game. It's good that this game was released, giving new ideas to other developers of the same game genre, but it's hardly an enjoyable piece of cake. There is nothing bad in trying this game out tho. I noticed there are only three basic archetypes: gunner, elementalist, summoner and usually you will need perks of all of them in any single run, otherwise it would be hardly a viable build. No distinguishable defensive/AOE/close combat builds. Metaprogression feels useful only in the most hard to get perks, expect 10 hours of grind before you will start to benefit from it. Very scarce variety of enemies. No working controller support.
I don't actually dislike the game. It's just that there are so many other games that did it better.......Sorry guys.
Worth the money for a bullet hell. However it's good design and color identity is one if it's biggest downfalls; it lacks the clarity to tell what is a damaging vs friendly projectile when there is already so much on the screen. Fun to reach max darkness and get all the achievements but no point really to play past that. Also weapons/characters seem extremely unbalanced and appears the dev has moved on to another project and is no longer updating this game.
I got into this game right around the time I was playing Vampire Survivors. I was surprised it wasn't commented more or mentioned more frequently. 20 minutes after down scratches that same itch of "NUMBER GO HIGHER, BRAIN HAPPY". Great options for characters, weapons, playstyles. Interesting visuals and music as well. But the premise of "20 minutes" is great as well if you're a busy adult with busy adult life and want to play something that you can jump in quickly and progress into the game without having to spend hours and hours. Great recommendation if you like action games and you need quick game sessions.
It's fun but lacks the "wow" factor to keep me playing. It also has a large handful of problems in my opinion. Maybe it's just not suited to my tastes for some things, but objectively I think there are other problems that can't be excused by preference. Lots of stuff feels unfinished, including missing or convoluted UI elements. I found it very tricky to understand the upgrade paths, the language for abilities, and so on. Some things are unintuitive or incomplete in how they're written, and there are simple typos that show a lack of attention to detail. There's little enemy variety, character builds are not that versatile and the characters don't feel sufficiently different to warrant unlocking all of them. Honestly some of the playstyles for weapons can feel more impactful than some characters. I think it would have been beneficial to give each character an active ability to further set them apart and allow for a bit more skill expression. And then, I have quite a few complaints ab...
One of the best rogue-lite top-down shooters I have played. I whole heartedly recommend it to whomever also likes this kind of genre.
It’s not great. You do so little damage throughout each run that it becomes frustrating and annoying to play. It’s mostly a game of dodging and movement since you can’t kill things very frequently. It’s tedious and annoying.
A tricky game to rate honestly...it's a well polished yet simple survivor arena game. Characters are mild flavour at best, as there are only 3 optimal 'choice' paths available; 1) Bullet-related builds (damage/projectile etc) 2) Damage affect builds (fire/frost/lightning/curse) 3) Summon builds (dragon/spear/scythe/ghost) All other upgrades are for benefits to said build types, but the synergies are all self-contained within those options once you learn the upgrades. This means by default, you only 'choose' to chase 1 of 3 builds...not a particularly interesting design. As said at the start, the game itself is well polished in execution but the characters offer little variation to any actual gameplay. The boss buffs are fantastic, but it is peculiar to have the odd available drop that is entirely useless - at guess, 20% of boss drops are entirely useless to most builds. Either needs some subtle additions for variance of gameplay, or more impactful character effects. In any case, a...
great game of its type for the price
