Played this game for the first time in a couple years after a massive update was released, and am thoroughly disappointed. 1. the bandits are terrible. The spawn in groups of 3-5, are armoured to the max taking several mags of bullets to kill while killing players with just a few bullets, they're super fast and can apparently headshot you from 100m away?? And if that wasn't enough, apparently the group size doubles by spawning out of nowhere with them chasing you and camping your grave for the next 30min irl. 2. The zombies. They bug out and launch themselves like kangaroos on cr**k not just downhill, but even on flat land, and its 50/50 whether a headshot that killed one will take 6-7 to kill the next one, even with a gun. 3. The game is empty and just a boring walking simulator with the same environment texture pack copy/pasted everywhere. By adding more in they've made the game even emptier. Previously, I could walk through a forest or cityscape almost anywhere on a smaller map a...

User Reviews
I think that this game has potential, but there seems to be some kind of issue with communication I think. They are a Chinese studio, so maybe they don't read English comments. They do have a CM who does speak English, but honestly, if you read his/her communication on the discussions/forum, then you will realise that maybe it would have been better if they had none. 2 months ago they have added random generation of enemies anywhere on the map, while previously they would only spawn in designated locations. This doesn't sound too bad on its own, but the problem is that:

Zombies don't have anything useful on them, so they are just a nuisance
Bandits will ruin your day (according to others, I didn't play long enough for this to happen)
So, this addition doesn't improve player experience in any way. You can probably see a lot of negative reviews mentioning this issue, but in 2 months they have not added a setting to disable this. Curiously, among gameplay settings, y...
this game needs a lot of work it has potential but it's not their yet the interface needs to be streamlined and improved the requirements for item's need to be reworked i don't understand why i need a circuit board to make a simple wooden box the hunger , thirst , sleep requirements etc need to have sliders so i can adjust them to my play style everything should be adjustable to individual play style give the customer more options to control the settings of the game open it up for mods so people can make changes it will give the game more life, allow people to build any place they want why cant i build on a bridge? in some ways is better than scum in others not...... BTW i tried to log into a public server and found NONE not a 1 PS ill never trust fooster or fisk on a game video again
I have been debating on the game for a while. I saw a lot of reviews were mixed but I figured I might enjoy it. I was wrong. I bought it on sale and thought that $8 couldn't hurt. I was wrong about that too. I started the game and immediately was met with a critical error crash. Then when I get it going again I was so sad to see that the game had such a bad attack and shoot dynamic. The forging tools and scavenging is clunky but a good design that works in general made it ok. The worst part was the fighting, with guns even a head shot wasn't always guaranteed to finish a zombie, let alone with an axe to the brain needing several shots it allowed for being overtaken quickly. the overall mechanics were clunky i felt like my character even running 60 frames felt jerky and missing realistic movements. its just not great and free is about the only time you should get this game.
I think they are headed in the right direction but in my opinion, it's not really playable and enjoyable yet. The user interface is clunky as best. The Single Player save game mechanics make ZERO sense. Whatever happened to saving a game, giving it a name, and then hitting save? Current interface doesn't make any sense. Map3, the beta map is SO dark inside buildings, even with the brightness turned all the way up. Melee weapons durability is ABYSMAL. Kill 4 zombies and your steel spear is ready to break. Base building is unnecessarily intricate and quite frankly, you darn near have to be a builder to figure it out. 10 minutes in to a game and they throw bandits at you that are, in my opinion way over powered so it becomes a dying simulator and then because the save game mechanics suck, you are are starting fresh with nothing. I see very little developer work in this but a lot of Unreal magic. Houses and building are not even close to scale. It's well on it's way to being ano...
Honestly I have to say no for this game. While it's alright fun it's nothing special and with the speed of development being a snails pace and lack of optimisation... I'd say look elsewhere... literally anywhere else until the dev starts making this game at a faster speed.
Sadly this game crashes and burns at launch. Doesn't seem to want to run on my pc at all.
Every part of this game is bad. To have this kind of quality in 2025... It felt like I was playing a game that was half-finished in the 90s. I didn't like anything about it!
This is a really fun game to play with a group of friends or even just by yourself. Buyer Beware: Curb your expectations about the polish that this game has, the screen shots look good but the game does have bugs, issues, performance problems etc. If you're a fan of the survival genre this game does have some really fun game play and I throwing a spear at a Zombie and watching it rag doll doesn't ever get old. If you've got a beefy computer, definitely give this game a go.
The game totally sucks!!!
