The game is simple. Sort of a survivors style game but an FPS version. Shoot colred balls with numbers on them until they die. You can upgrade your guy, rogue lite style and slowly get further and further through each level. The upgrades are pretty cool and leveling is easy and fun. Definitely worth the $4 I paid for it. https://youtu.be/e-y75Nw2564

About the Game

Bowerwhelm is a game that aims to deliver the purest form of the rogue-like experience. This pursuit led the game to adopt a minimalist style with simple graphics. We've incorporated all the enjoyable aspects that define the rogue-like genre and stripped away everything else.
At its core, Bowerwhelm is a simple yet fun rogue-like game. It has the same loop as other similar games. However, the game was developed with the vision of prioritizing the addictive core loop rather than trying to introduce extra unnecessary features.
It features simple controls, putting you in command of an archer facing various geometric enemies. Initially, your abilities are just an enchantment for your basic attacks. As you progress and acquire new skill cards, you can craft your unique playstyle.

You can create AFK builds, random chance-based builds enabling one-shot kills, or mobility builds enhancing your movement abilities. When you need currency, you can grind using Farm builds to ease your money-making process. Alongside evolving your skills, you can also purchase permanent upgrades.
Each map presents different challenges, with greater difficulty offering increased rewards. Different enemy types demand distinct strategies. However, if you're not a big fan of developing strategies, worry not. You can beat the level by evolving the abilities you enjoy. You can focus on building a deck centered solely on powerful attacks or passive abilities.
If you're a whimsical player wanting it all, that's possible in Bowerwhelm too. You can mix skills and create hybrid builds. While each ability can complement the other, creating these combinations might require a bit of trial and mathematical cunning.
Meet Nashved in the Realm of Boweria
When you step into the Realm of Boweria, the Supreme Rulers will assign you a supervisor. Throughout your journey, "Nashved" will be there to assist you. He has a somewhat sarcastic personality, so please take his comments in good humor.
Every imbecile who arrives in this realm should have someone to guide them. Yes, in Boweria, mortals are called “imbeciles.” Please don't take offense; let's call it cultural diversity... The Supreme Rulers reward imbeciles with new abilities and coins based on the reports from the supervisors.
Starting Tips:
- Take your time to collect capsules. Don’t hurry they won’t disappear
- Check your quests to unlock new skills
- Don’t forget to evolve your skills
- Buy permanent upgrades to start stronger
- Seek for powerful skill combinations

A very minimalist “hit and run” video game. The goal is simple: hit those targets with your arrows until the numbers displayed on them disappear. Sounds easy enough? They will hunt you down while you can only use a bow and arrows. Every target drops XP and the more you level up the bigger and scary those numbers will be. Do not worry, though! To help you to survive the ordeal, some skills will be available to you as soon as you hit certain goals (by jumping, dying, destroying targets, and so on). You can then can pick the skills to use by putting them in a “deck”. To make things more spice-y, you can replay the levels on a hardcore mode that you can unlock just by playing; on this hard mode the targets will have increased HP, an increased respawn rate, and they will hunt you down much, much faster than before. With only two levels to choose from, it is a bit repetitive especially if you aim for the 100% (but it will not take that long to hundo anyway).
fun but no steam cloud, also 2k res support will be appreciated.
Simple yet fun game, definitely worth the price. The feeling of leveling up your character and upgrading skills is better than finding a ten dollar bill in your pocket. Most of the details are hidden. Almost all skills can be combined with eachother. For instance, portal is affected by bow and multishot skills . The drone does the same thing. The game becomes easier to play after getting used to combinations. I don't normally write reviews for games. I filled out a form in the game that promised to give me 1000 gold if I provided feedback to the developer. They responded to me via email and added my feedback to their to-do list, and gave me few tips. Pros: - Feeling of character improvement - Replayability - Skill combinations Cons: - You need to try new builds to learn combinations over and over again and it takes time. Need a guide for it. - Final skills are extremely hard to unlock.
In all honesty this game feels more like a cash grab that fails to understand what makes survivor-type games good. Firstly of all, the tutorials are frustratingly slow and the dialogue is unskippable. Not to mention the character that talks to you in the tutorial and throughout the game is possibly one of the most annoying characters I've come across in recent years. Unless you like an AI Voiced scottish man calling you slurs while you play I'd skip the game for that alone. Onto some of the core problems with the game. It's insanely dependent on permanent progression, to the point that you start with literally only three upgrades. You unlock more upgrades as you unlock achievements, but that means your first two or three runs are very restricted in terms of build options. Not to mention that the permanent upgrades itself are so powerful and essential that your first run is guaranteed to fail early. That also presents another glaring issue, which is that once you buy a handful of per...
uhhweeee, im robin hood! * Update * If you guys hate / love flying balls with numbers in it, you will like this game. I can penetrate them like i do it on my birthday (im married if you know what i mean). i like the simple idea of it, you can shot balls, they drop xp + coins, you can upgrade many stuff in the menu and during the game. im a simple man, if i have to shot balls for xp, i will do it.
Simple, Sweet and Upgradable... LOVE IT!
