This game is the best starter for your whole non-gacha chinese game journey and let me tell you, this is only the tip of the iceberg, for all of you who are tired playing the same western or even japanese game, try this game. The story is very good and humorous with multiple outcomes and endings, I personally find chinese translated english cute, game mechanic is crazy good with many variety, once you know the joy of finding martial art book, learn and master it, you can never go back to your regular skill mechanic. And after you play this, you'll try to find games similar like this, search titles with Immortal, cultivation, Wuxia or Xianxia in it, and you found all of it, but it's not enough, you turn on simplified chinese in steam setting, search again, and you can only hope the game you caught interest in will get translated by developer or fans, but you have better chance learning chinese. Welcome to the bottomless hell of indie chinese game 10/10

Game Features
- [Unexpected Encounters Await]
Throughout your journey, you will run into scripted and unexpected encounters. Perhaps you'll cross paths with an ambitious lieutenant amidst a power struggle at a humble inn, or you’ll run into a retired kung fu master in a nameless village. These will be the experiences you will learn to expect in the ever-changing Jianghu.
Beware, each encounter might associate and change your relationship with the 30+ factions involved in the power struggle in this chaotic Martial World. And remember: every choice you make, every person you befriend (or offend), and every faction you engage will leave a mark. - [Become the Master of Martial Arts]
Whether you're decoding ancient techniques off a forgotten scroll, or prefer training with a battle-hardened warrior, there’s no correct solution for mastering martial arts. Choose from a variety of weapon types and explore 300+ martial arts skills, the Jianghu will be yours to conquer. - [Explore a Living, Breathing World]
In this Wuxia simulator, you'll get to explore 80 cities and villages that bring wuxia to life. Witness how villagers go about their daily routines, and experience the rhythms of ancient Chinese cities. - [Craft Your Narrative]
To provide an experience where you can embody your own martial spirit, Hero’s Adventure has over 10 distinct endings. Whether you choose to be a noble swordsman, a guardian of the nation, or an agent of chaos, you'll find an ending that aligns with your chosen path in Hero's Adventure.

After getting interested in the theme and trying a bunch of Wuxia games, I have to say this is my favorite one so far. Yeah, it has problems

It has some gamedesign and techincal junk like all Chinese RPGs, but here it's on minimal level.
Translation is wonky, but enough to understand what everyone is saying 95% of the time.
The game is kinda overloaded with the number of possible companions, so they don't have any personality outside their recruitment quests.
But the positives matter more

Decent story with choices that matter and plenty of endings.
The combat is somewhat simplistic, but still offers plenty of options
A lot of things to do and discover
The grind is very human (compared to other games in the genre)
While it is not nearly as good as Wandering Sword, Hero's Adventure is STILL a really good wuxia game held back by wonky translation that can create some confusion about mechanics and such as well as being quite unforgiving build wise to a point where you may not be able to complete the ending you wanted if you go in entirely blind without a game plan. The additional mechanics such as crafting and other non-combat skills are a hit or miss with some skills feeling unnecessairly grindy most likely to pad out the playtime for completionists. The writing albeit suffering from being poorly translated, was still perfectly serviceable for a game like this. The only major flaw in regards to writing is that after their respective story missions and VERY occasional interjections (for me it was 3~ across 40 hours), companions are essentially manequins. I assume it is in part due to the sheer number of them. Additional kudos for giving players new game unlocks related to achievements you get, I...
The bad translation and constant clipping of UI makes a game with a ton of potential disappointing. It's seriously hard to understand what characters are saying at times. Because it's such a dialogue heavy game, it's hard to recommend in its current state. Wait for a sale or an official translation.
Really promise game with cute art style. But i would be better if the dev love their game and polish it more. COMBAT is too easy, large number of the martial art (cultivation mostly) are trash. The dev should put more their heart into the balance, and combat system. The name is good, but the effort to get it then realize it so trash is really frustrating. Please update this game, too little content. SOCIAL omg why make it so poor, most girls only need to spawn gifts??? NO Story, NO unique skills or dialogue??? I want waifus why give me maniques??? SECT except NINE SECT, every other sect DONT HAVE much personalities. I cannot have any relate the relationship with any sect. Why made it so shallow??? Conclusion: The best thing about wuxia game is martial arts, relationships. And the dev make it so shallow. I already over 100 hours in this game because i really like it. But the flaw are too much bro. This game have so much potential why stop it with this state. DONT YOU LOVE YOUR OWN...
Complete game, 70 hours still not finish the game, great content. Can almost gather any teammate you want. 10/10
This is such a big and expansive game that, I can't really think of a similar game like it. I love games that let me do really dumb stuff, while also rewarding me for it... I beat up a very specific woman, I now have a +% modifier against women. I have the spear of some old dead guy, and I found his grandson or something, and now he gives me a sidequest that just gives me the manual for the skill he used while he was alive. I knocked my head hard enough into the ground to acquire a new weapon, which almost killed me. There's so many events and strange things in this game that I've probably only explored like... 10% of it? Maybe?
很棒的游戏,内容丰富 玩着玩着就几个小时过去了 必须给赞!
I really love this game. It’s fun building relationships with the characters, I like how the NPCs look and dress, and mixing different skills is awesome. But it’d be way cooler if the characters’ outfits and weapons actually changed depending on what they’re wearing or using. 10/10
good stuff. i spent lots of time with it.
