340 hours of game play so for like $10 (including DLC). 100% achievements & 5 starred every vanilla character on both maps and now enjoying playing mod characters. Steam share also makes it a great game to just pick up and play with friends for 30-60 minutes. Fully recommend. My top game play on steam of all-time at the time of this writing.

one of my favourite games. super balanced, for casuals but also for more deep dive. No run is like the other. Easy to learn, hard to master. Less RNG than you would think
saw a friend playing it and was intrigued. paid £2.99. ive had 6 hours of pure fun so far and im sure theres more to come. great gameplay loop. not overly punishing like other roguelites. can play on a potato pc.
Gets repetitive after awhile, The lack of combination weapons or anything to upgrade after your runs makes the game incredibly shallow.
nothing to upgrade between runs means extremely low replayability. Its just the same thing over and over with nothing to upgrade
Another great small game. I usually play this game when i have a spare 10/20 mins and that's what its perfect for. Even if i'm terrible i will have still enjoyed my time on this game. One small thing i think it needs is different difficulty and achievement to suit difficulty. Other than that i would highly recommend!
I don't get it. I know that makes me 'wrong' because everyone else seems to love this game, but I just don't get it. Reviewed purely within its genre, as a vampire-survivor-like or reverse-bullet-hell or bullet-heaven or whatever you want to call this type of game, I just don't get Brotato. So many options, but none of them really that different, and virtually every character is better off just stacking one weapon type. Combinations of things are pretty discouraged, just pick one weapon and stack it in every slot. All of the characters look and play almost identical, very little visual distinction, and the weapons are similarly same-y in both gameplay and visuals. Artistically it's not 'bad', but it is exactly the same Flash art style I've seen on cheap, half-baked Newgrounds games since the 1990s, and it's just so [expletive] boring. Well enough done for what it is, but wholly unimaginative and uncreative. Clearly I'm in the minority here, because it has an Overwhelmingly/Very Pos...
This game has enough absurd as well as clever mechanics to make it re-playable. It is best enjoyed with friends around your desk while you yell and scream over your weapons or amount of enemies coming at you. Being armed with a flamethrower, a fist, and a brick is how ya can roll in this excellent game. This game really needs online multiplayer as I'd love to just smash potatoes with friends remotely.
The best bullet heaven game by far. There are many interesting mechanics, a lot of truly unique characters, playing is not just mindless scaling. Every weapon is unique and you can feel the difference, every hit feel meaningful. The only thing a bit lacking is a meta progression or any incentive to grind. Don't get me wrong the run itself is super fun, it is the main reason to keep playing, but i wish it have some kind of other meta rewards.
