This game is an absolute SLOG. The stuff they show in the trailers? HA! Good luck getting anywhere near that. 2 hours played and it was just the same boring trek. The only wildlife is Hogs. That's it. Other than that, all you'll ever see is the monsters that come every night. There is a pistol you can find. To defend yourself you say? HA! Its worthless due to the fact you CANNOT carry any more than 2 items, 1 in each hand, and to operate the pistol you have to have: The pistol itself, powder, and shot. THATS 3 ITEMS!! What is even the point of the pistol being in the game! And the worst part about it is when you find the pistol, all the balls are in a nice little box with like 8-10 in there. So its like they show you what you could be using, but because your character is pants on head retarded, you cant use it due to inane carry limitations. I wanted to like the game, its very pretty. But they SERIOUSLY need to revamp the beginning of the game.

*SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW* This game is really fun, and it's my favorite VR game so far. However, after I beat Seymour and got the boots, I tried to go to the Riverlands, but it rained and there were no caves around. Because of that I lost ~5 hours of work. If the dev sees this, please update it to where this can't happen. I get the weather is supposed to work against the player and be random, but this is just ridiculous.
I would highly recommend this game if you like survival /unforgiving style of mechanics
Honestly one of the most immersive and best survival games i have ever played just the fact that everything is just so interactive ripping the husk off a coconut actually feels like forcefully tearing it off or opening the cork to a bottle and how extremely good the game looks visually i just love it so much honestly glued to the development of this game my only big problem is are the performance issues i do get its in early access and i have followed the performance guide to fix the issues however as i run a 5070 ti i7 14th gen with 32gb of ram i feel like this game should run better also it might be cool if it was possible to smash a stone into a stick to make like a primitive axe or something and be able to chop down smaller trees for wood and maybe have the trees respawn every so 20 days or something to still give the struggle for resources without ever making the island run out and do the same with food/ vines etc growing back after a while however aside from what i would like to ...
its really fun and realistic but i keep having glitches where i spawn under the map itself and fall to my death ending my run when i try to continue a game after relaunching the game. (PS i disliked for the review so maybe the devs can respond faster and tell me what to do)
very prefomance heavy but amazing and realistic!

Abysmal performance on my 9070XT. Even with everything turned down to low and the resolution at 60% it still struggles to maintain 90hz and even has low performance when it does run at 90hz. I decided to try the game anyway despite the performance issues and although it seems good at first, it quickly became obvious how shallow the gameplay actually was. I got to "seymore" after a few tries and just after getting the boots I died because it was night. The developer wants this game to be "realistic" (you can only hold items in your hands at first, striking metal to make flames, cooking in a fire, etc.) but then you just die because it's dark? That doesn't make any sense. The world is supposedly randomized, but it's quickly evident the map is 90% always going to be the same. I feel like most of these reviews are fake or were paid for. Why are you people recommending this game, it's far from good???
I love this game the graphics are awesome during the day its beautiful but during the night its dark and terrifying it is so worth 25 bucks would 100% recommend 11/10
