About the Game

Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. Fight to survive as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the Family in this immersive third-person action-adventure set during a dangerous, unforgiving era.
Enzo will do anything for a better life. After a brutal childhood of forced labor, he's ready to risk everything to become a man of honor in the Torrisi crime family.
His oath to the Mafia, with all the power, temptation, and hardship it entails, is a burning reminder of this simple truth:
Family Takes Sacrifice.
This thrilling narrative is brought to life by stunning visuals, cinematic storytelling, and the authentic realism that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for. Enzo's story unfolds in a time when skill with a stiletto blade was a deadly asset, a lupara sawed-off shotgun was a go-to firearm, murderous vendettas raged for decades, and mafiosi patrolled their protection rackets on foot, horseback, or behind the wheel of turn-of-the-century motorcars.
The rough-hewn beauty of Sicily's rugged countryside is a stark contrast to the grime of urban alleyways—but the treachery and violence of this gangland run just as deep. Rival families and their ruthless leaders wage unending turf wars in the shadows, hidden from the public eye. Trust is a fleeting rarity, and loyalties are worth killing for.
You're the antihero of this thrilling 1900s story, living out every tense moment of Enzo's descent into Sicily’s clandestine criminal underworld. Come face-to-face with a cast of unpredictable allies and cutthroat enemies in this classic crime drama, rich in period-authentic details that will immerse you in this treacherous Mediterranean setting.
Engage in life-or-death combat, be it up close with a blade or from afar with a variety of firearms. Ambush enemies for vicious stealth takedowns, or slice them up in close-quarters duels. If you prefer firearms, wield period-authentic handguns, rifles, and shotguns to overcome any odds and doggedly eliminate the Don's enemies.
Traverse a wide range of Sicilian environments, from underground crypts and crumbling ruins to bountiful vineyards and ornate opera houses. To reach your next target or make a hurried getaway, you'll need to gallop on horseback across cobbled streets and open fields, or speed down dirt roads in authentic turn-of-the-century automobiles.

The game is bellissimo. If you're a mafia fan or have enjoyed previous mafia games this game is for you. This is as authentic as it gets!!
The main character of the game is Enzo. The protagonist grew up working in a sulfur mine, and his search for a better life led him into the arms of the criminal family of Don Torrisi, to whom he swears loyalty. ✅In my opinion, this is the best mafia game in terms of graphics, storyline, and soundtrack. ✅I highly recommend playing with the Sicilian dubbing ✅What deserves the most praise (inspired by Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2) is the horse riding — shooting from horseback is epic and very similar to RDR2. I really missed that <3 ✅The story starts off very calm, but with each mission the tension rises, and there are lots of unexpected moments ✅The graphics are beautifully done with clear attention to detail — from characters to cities, even the sky ✅The game length is perfect, not too long nor too short — about 12 to 20 hours depending on your pace ✅Great knife combat system (5 different combos) ✅Decent shooting system (each difficulty level changes the feel a bit...
Let me be brutally honest here: Mafia: Old Country is not just a letdown for me — it’s a slap in the face to anyone who’s ever played the original Mafia game and had high hopes for this one. Yes, the graphics are decent, but that’s literally the only thing this game has. Everything else? There isn’t anything. Who thought it was a good idea to call this a Mafia game? What does that Santa Barbara romance drama have to do with the mob, tradition, or anything remotely connected to the franchise? It’s like they slapped a “Mafia” sticker on a generic walking sim and called it a day. This must be a joke. The original Mafia (2002) was gritty, atmospheric, and immersive. It had real stakes, believable characters, and a story that left a mark. Now we’re in 2025, and we get this? With all the tools and creative power available today, this feels like a rushed student project — and not a good one, except gfx. It genuinely feels like a solo effort made with Unreal 5 aft...
The game starts off fairly strong. The opening hours introduce the mechanics, tools, and gameplay systems well, and at first, it feels like it’s setting the stage for something special. Unfortunately, that promise quickly fades. Less than halfway through, the experience becomes repetitive — and it never really recovers. The gameplay boils down to a repeated loop of sneaking sections, shootouts, and knife fights. What begins as somewhat engaging quickly turns into a monotonous grind. The game lasts around 10 to 11 hours, but most of that time feels like you're playing the same few sequences on repeat. By the time you hit the mid-to-late game, it becomes obvious the developers were rushing to wrap it up. It feels like all the passion and care were front-loaded, and the rest was thrown together just to finish the project. The gameplay becomes dull, and while the graphics are genuinely impressive, they’re wasted on a world you barely get to explore or interact with in meaningful wa...
The gameplay feels like a mix between the classic Mafia style and modern stealth games like Assassin’s Creed. There are a few chapters with decent shooting, but most of it is made up of straightforward stealth missions. And of course, it wouldn’t be Mafia without a couple of frustrating races with questionable driving mechanics (almost gave up on the second one). The main thing holding everything together is the story—it has some strong moments but ultimately falls flat. My advice: wait for a 50% discount and for them to fix the graphical glitches, stuttering, and average performance. This isn’t the game I was hoping for. Why make a huge “open world” if you can’t explore it freely or even go buy upgrades from a store? I couldn’t bring myself to finish after chapter 13.
We’re so Back! in the Family Business
The game drops you into a cinematic mob world where loyalty, betrayal, and cold-blooded crime fuel the story. I was surprised by how immersive it felt. There’s a quiet tension in every mission and every conversation. It plays like a love letter to classic Mafia tales, complete with shootouts, sit-downs, and street-level drama. We are so back! the game nails the mob movie vibe with story-heavy choices, old-school charm, and atmosphere that pulls you right into the family.
The Good
1) Voice acting is sharp and believable, giving characters real weight and personality. 2) The city feels alive. Simple in design but packed with atmosphere and old-world charm. 3) Choices matter. You’re not just shooting your way through. Your decisions shape who trusts you and who wants you gone. 4) The soundtrack sells it. Jazz, tension, and ambiance all carry that Mafia movie energy. 5) Story pacing hits the mark. It's not...
Repetitive Combat, predictable story and worse of all they do that "you win the fight in gameplay but you lose in the cutscene" worst entry yet
Having been a fan of the series since the very first game, I was really looking forward to seeing what the Old Country is about. Sad to say, the experience left me just plain disappointed. Mafia 3 was a deeply flawed game, with a lot of open world bloat and a story that didn't quite leave a mark. Still, it did try to introduce something new to the series, although with mixed results. It did help that it was Hangar 13's first foray into the franchise, with the end result not quite measuring up to the games that came before. Mafia 3 is a game that I still can't say I wholeheartedly like, though I came to respect the different approach it took regarding it's storytelling and gameplay. I can't say the same for this new title. There is almost no aspect of this game that I find without flaws, story including. I genuinely tried to like the direction Hangar 13 went with, and there were moments that were genuine standouts among the sea of flaws. For a start, the whole game just feels und...
The game started off strong, but later on it just got boring. Kept doing the same thing over and over, stealth section, cutscene, shootout, cutscene, drive from point A to B, cutscene, repeat. You got all these different guns and yet it genuinely does not matter what you use, it all feels the same and any of them gets the job done. The game is VERY linear, don't expect you'll do anything else other than the story, which btw was kinda mid. The final chapter was so ridiculous and made NO sense whatsoever, the entire story just falls apart mid-late game and it just overall felt incredibly rushed. This game wasn't a game about mafias, it was just a damn tragic love story.
