Unbridled: That Horse Game

*Warning: Long and Extensive Review - Posted during Early Access* I've been addicted to the game since I downloaded it but a lot of it is simple routine. I see a lot of room for development and expansion and while that's exciting, the game is a bit bland and chunky right now. Once you complete the initial three quests, you're basically just doing everything you can to make money from limited daily "Job Boards" so you can get your next horse, tack, food, maybe some jumps/items for training, or cute blankets for your horse. There currently aren't any competitions and your only real activity that you're doing with your horse is jumping practice or running around at the "Campsite" where you collect your resources. There's a limited practice area at the Campground that includes a couple of cross-country-like jumps and targets for bow-and-arrow practice from the back of your horse. These are areas that are definitely going to be developed and I'm incredibly excited to see how that expands...

I used to play many a horse game back in the day, and if I could go back in time and play this when I was a young teen I would've adored it! The graphics and animation are awesome, especially for the horses! My only complaints are that it's definitely quite janky and have had a hard time doing some of the basic tasks. Leading the horse is quite finicky where the lead will randomly come off especially if jogging, which is a bummer when walking is veerrry slow. Quite often you will be holding more than one item at a time and sometimes that'll mess up whatever action you're trying to accomplish! For some reason, I've noticed on the Steam page that there's been updates to certain parts of the game, such as the mining and tree cutting, not sure if it's my own user error or what but can't seem to figure that out for the life of me! This is the best horse game that I've played, thus far. I have Star Stable, Rival Stars, Ranch of Rivershine, Emerald Valley Ranch, Horse Isle, Howrse Online, etc. This game, while STILL EARLY ACCESS, has amazing attention to detail. The developers are incredible, communicative and thorough in their dev-logs. They live stream their progress and have a live roadmap document that you can check at any time! This game is well worth the price, and will be worth way more as time goes on. Its a smart investment if you're looking for realism and relaxation with the option of multiplayer, at the Campground. I've spent 50 hours already and am eagerly awaiting the next update!

VERY good game recommend for people who like to just lay back and play a nice cozy game and chop some trees (ect) or maybe a roleplay typpa person this game is SUPER realistic (feeding, mucking out, training and so much more) different horse types im obsessed with this game and im sure so much would be worth what it is and its coming along so nicely :)!!!

I think this game shows a lot of promise for a horse game!! I can't wait for the updates as early access continues!

Everytime I try to play, I get past the human customize and the game crashes and says "fatal error" I feel like i just wasted $30

I've been playing horse PC games since I was a little kid in the early 2000s, so I've had my fair share of experiences! I'm judging this game from about 5 hours of early access gameplay, and aware that I bought it right after some major updates were introduced. This game shows a TON of promise. My NVIDIA graphics card is from 2017ish, so I play on medium settings and the frame rate is still a bit choppy, but even playing on not the highest settings I'm still really pleased with the graphics quality - from the player, to the horse, to the environment textures. I actually really love that everything is super involved, from leading the horse to mucking out and tacking up. I much prefer this over simply doing things in a few clicks - it makes the experience so much more immersive! The striding system is a little bit funny and could probably be refined, but I actually find it pretty realistic and I can eyeball jumps from real riding experience.
