About the Game

WILD HEARTS™ is a unique twist on the hunting genre, where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op.

No one remembers why the Kemono began their rampage through a once-prosperous Azuma. Fueled by desperation, they wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive. For a while, it seemed that none could stand against their overwhelming might. But hope arrives in the form of a formidable hunter armed with deadly weapons and ancient technology called Karakuri that could turn the tide of battle.

Developed for this generation of platforms by Omega Force, the Japanese studio behind the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise, WILD HEARTS™ takes you on an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan.

Note: Features such as, but not limited to, Narrated Game Menus, Chat Text to Speech, and Chat Transcription are available in English only.

If there is somebody who wears a suit at EA games and wants a promotion, feel free to use everything I say here to benefit yourself. You will get a reputation within EA and gaming if you are semi-competent at leadership and understanding niche markets. Now, for the avid game enthusiasts... I know a bit about how development teams in a corporate structure operate and this very much feels like an inexperienced development team with great ideas that just need strong leadership. Every part of this game looks like a passionate artist being held back. Everything from combat to art direction just feels restrained. And it feels like it's being restrained by someone in a suit - not the developers'. And that restraint might not necessarily come from the suit but rather what the team lead thinks the suit wants. I go out of my way to not follow teams anymore due to most independent teams going all wonky as they progress (Team Ninja, FromSoft, etc). Basically, the team is never the same, n...

I'm going to go against the grain here, I think Wild Hearts is good, really good, and in some ways even superior to Monster Hunter. The game runs poorly, and all the reviews that mention that are totally justified, but I got Wild Hearts on sale for 10 smackers, and I turned most settings to low, because I actually wanted to play it. So that's my advice, if you like similar titles then wait for a sale, don't expect anything crazy and you'll probably have fun with it.

Really cool and fun game. Like the best bits of Monster Hunter combined with the best bits of Nioh, but a bit more forgiving than both. Nice art style, combat, and sound design. It's a shame it didn't meet sales targets or whatever and the devs never continued on with making content/sequels as the game has massive potential. Cons are performance issues (like all Koei Tecmo PC ports) and the connection to EA's absolutely pointless launcher. The guy at EA who decides every game published by them needs to be tied to this buggy, poorly designed launcher should be hung, drawn and quartered for their crimes against games.

Please listen. if you have had crashing issues, i was able to fix mine by changing the download files out of office 365 control. i had those issues and was determined to find out what. i'm not the best at explaining but if you search up "why my game keeps crashing after the character creation" there was a redit thread that explains how to fix it. and after that this game is honestly pretty fun

So, I LOVE souls-like games and the "monster hunter" theme/concept really appeals to me, the problem... this game has TERRIBLE execution. the gameplay is clunky, certain attacks feel outright unavoidable, I was only using the katana and it really feels like the bow is a requirement (which should not be the case). if you're looking for a good monster hunter experience, go with monster hunter or dauntless. if you want a souls-like monster hunter, keep looking.
