Oh yes. My beloved game that i have in disc form. Both the standard and expansion edition. Then I got the steam version of the original and now this remake. I think this solidifies for me that this game is worth the purchase on all fronts. Glad to see it get some added content after so many years.

I really wanted to enjoy Age of Mythology: Retold, but after giving it a fair shot I can’t recommend it. The game feels punishingly hard in a way that isn’t fun or rewarding. The AI doesn’t just challenge you—it spams units endlessly, micros every single one with inhuman precision, and turns matches into a frustrating grind rather than a strategy experience.
Pathfinding is another major issue. Units constantly get stuck, wander off, or clump together in ways that make battles more about fighting the controls than fighting your opponent. Combined with the AI’s godlike micromanagement, it leaves the player at a huge disadvantage.
Mechanically, the game feels very dated. Many systems haven’t aged well, and instead of feeling like a modern reimagining, it plays like a relic with a new coat of paint. To be fair, it is quite pretty—visually it’s a nice upgrade, and the mythological theme still has charm. But looks alone can’t save outdated gameplay and an AI that make...

Excellent remaster of a childhood favorite and, with some stuff like god powers, arguably even improves on the original in terms of game design. Haven't tried any of the DLC, but so far, this is well up there when it comes to RTS remasters, and anyone who wants to play Age of Mythology, either because they grew up with it, or because they heard about it but never got the chance to play it, this is the version to get.

I just started playing but this is already fun as hell.
I've played many MANY RTSs over the years and never really got into the Age of- games, but I'm enjoying this immensely so far.
