I had this game as number 1 on my wishlist since the first time I saw it on Reddit a few years ago. So I bought it on release but didn't get around to playing it until now. I'm not going to lie. It needs more work. And the developer seemingly abandoned it. I know the feeling very well of having a project that is like my baby crash and burn. So I cannot blame him for doing so. With all that said, there is a lot to like here and a lot of variety to the gameplay; a lot more than can be said for most AAA games. I enjoyed my time with it, and I do not regret my purchase one bit.

About This Game

The Moon. Our closest celestial neighbor. A place full of mystery and strange things. That's right, there's more than just rocks and impossible challenges out there. A lone astronaut is about to learn that first hand, when he loses contact with Earth and begins an interstellar odyssey across the universe
Moon Mystery is a first-person shooter adventure full of puzzles, action, set on strange new worlds. The gray rocks of the Moon are just the first step on a great journey. Fill up your oxygen tanks, top up your magazines, and get ready for a long trip. You won't be seeing Earth for a while.

Humanity's return to the Moon was no easy feat, requiring state-of-the-art technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Piece together what happened to the previous mission on the Silver Globe alongside the sole survivor, the AI computer. Our first permanent lunar base being the origin point for where everything went wrong. What happened? What do you need to prepare yourself against? Just why did we go to the Moon in the first place?

The Moon is one of the most hostile environments known to man. Put wits and platforming skills to the test while traversing treacherous landscapes and vast abandoned bases. Pilot multiple vehicles such as spaceships, radio-controlled cars, lunar rovers, and even a submarine to get through alien worlds and solve the many puzzles that await.

While outsmarting puzzles and platforming through the environment is one thing… Dealing with malfunctioning robots stalking the corridors alongside other, more terrifying and mysterious foes, is another. Keep that gun loaded alongside oxygen bottles, you'll need it.

I didn't finish the game, I never will, I don't recommend you even start. It seems that developer bit of more than he could chew, and the game will never be finished. The short version- horrible gun play, full of bugs, bad save system, bad game design BTW, THE GAME IS NOT ON THE MOON AND THERE IS NO MYSTERY Details: Pro: Visually interesting locations Con: -Gun play is atrocious, everything is a bullet sponge, and the weapons sound and feel like nerf guns. -Full of bugs, for instance the sniper scope some times shows a fixed picture instead of being "transparent" - The developer seems to have abandoned the project, so nothing will be fixed -There is no quick saving, only checkpoints. This is not necessarily bad, but it was poorly implemented. You have multiple shooting arenas, with very long drives between them. If you die on the last one, you have a long boring drive ahead of you again. - Speaking of boring driving, the maps are mostly empty -The writing and dialog...
Fun and different. I very much would like to see this type of game expanded on. Yes, it has a few things that could use a bit of refinement but not bad for independent venture.
You call this moon mystery and advertised a lot of different planetary environments so I assumed there would be some kind of space travel, to which there isn't but I do understand budget limitations though it really feels like in trailers you are implying it would exist given all the vehicles shown. As for the mystery it's almost shameful how brazen you are to put this on your title setting the bar very high but failing tremendously, but the bad story isn't the worse imaginable thing for games and if you're gameplay was good enough I could forgive this maybe. Characters feel 2D with almost no flavour like the main character is, what I assume, meant to be a player self insert with how generic he is, he walks into the robot factory, the same robots that are trying to kill him and, most likely, caused the death of his family and destroying the world, a geologist with to my knowledge no fire arm experience and his gut reaction is "hell yea get to kill more robots". Why isn't it something m...
I had a good time with this title. Its pretty much a low energy fps, and the "Mystery" is up to interpretation. There really isn't one. The main problem with the voice acting is that it was obviously edited together my someone who does not have English as their first language, so the voices are jammed together in a way that native speakers would not do. But the actors do a decent enough job. Not Oscar worthy but servicable. The gameplay loop is you run into some Robots, then you do some kind of puzzle, then more combat. You never face more than 6 robots at a time so its manageable even for me who am not an FPS grog. Overall the environments had obviously had a lot of work put into them, and you drive Vehicles at a number of points as you travel through the story. The story is servicable at best. The route you take is linear with branches to explore to get more loot. It was all in all a very chill experience. If you are all about action it propably is not the title for you, but for ...
