Really... dim. Not gameplay wise or anything the UI just seems dark and it makes me squint. Fun though. Music is... repetitive. and when turning it on you will understand why it starts off. I like this game. I will come back to try it again! You should play it.

Well, this is the first steam game I've ever returned. I've been devouring survivor-likes and playing a ton and this unfortunately has been my worst experience. There is literally no tutorial or even basic instructions, and even if you think your game's controls are obvious, they're not. Is there auto-aim? Is there auto-fire? How do I dash? Figure it out yourself, says the dev, I'm not going to tell you. The maps are ugly and the color scheme makes it hard to see things, to the extent that on my first run I wasn't levelling up at all and it was because I didn't realize I wasn't picking up dropped experience because I couldn't even see them on the map and didn't realize they were there. The map has color divisions that look like they should be solid walls, but nope, you can just walk all over them-- until you get to the actual edge of the map which looks pretty much the same, but you can't walk through it. The game breaker (literally) for me was the dash mechanic. I thought t...
Recommended because of the price
Gave this a shot as one of the many Indie games I discovered via browsing on social media. Nice little time waster, for the price it's a steal and it's worth it to burn 20-40 minutes when you have time to spare and can't invest more than that before something else comes up. So definitely a recommended if you can't get enough of these types of games especially for this low price. I think there are other games of this genre that grabbed me more, but it's a competently developed title just lacking on the special sauce to make it amazing. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this a 6/10 (see feedback below) if it had cost anything more than $5, but because of the price I would bump it to a passing 7/10 grade. ------------------------ Feedback/Negatives (your mileage may vary)

Not having new characters be permanent free unlocks (as in i always have to spend money to use one besides base), or at least it didn't display as much in my game. ...

Entomophobia
Entomophobia is a bug-slaying bullet-heaven where you collect a variety of unique weapons and upgrades unlike anything I have seen in a bullet-heaven so far. It currently has a few issues but it is early-access so they may be addressed by full release, it is also fairly easy once you know what upgrades to take and I found myself afking to farm the 1,000,000 kills achievement.
Gameplay
There are 8 characters in this game each with different stats, starting weapons and abilities, you also get a choice of gun to take with you, of which there are 5. Characters and guns can be unlocked by either completing achievements or buying them with meta-currency. There are a tonne of weapons in this game and they all act and are visually unique to anything I have seen in other bullet-heavens, how many games can you slay enemies with cornflakes, waffles and lemons while using a sniper rifle? You can take up to 5 weapons and passives total, as well as a ...
