Cool concept and the autmosphere is nice. However, the game itself has some mechanics that are a bit too heavy handed. The need for food and oil for the lamp is a great idea but the both needs go down too quickly, the food one being the real offender. There is a decent number of food items in the game but the vast majority you cannot take with you ontop of most of them giving you meager amounts of hunger. The rations you can take with you only give 10% hunger. You can make better ones but I was never able to. Throughout my second 25ish minute session I went through about 14-20 food items and 6 rations. I don't mind hard but having to stuff my face like i'm in a contest to be the worlds fattest protag is a bit much. There is also the matter that I lost gold for seemingly no reason and it wasn't a small amount. I went from having over 200 to 40. I was also unable to press the button near a fireplace in one of the houses. I'm not sure if the button was supposed to disarm the trap I took ...

cool game... and it's very hard!
its a good horror, a few of the spooks got me. i didn't realize but the statue in the house you wake up in, is a save point. Found out the hard way.
