About the Game

Nightingale is a PVE open-world survival crafting game played solo or cooperatively with friends. Become a Realmwalker and reignite the ancient Crossway portals, journeying through corrupted forests, gravity-torn deserts, and beyond.

Build, craft, fight, and discover as you venture through mystical portals into the beautiful and dangerous Faewilds. Battle through the depths of perilous dungeons, face formidable bosses, and explore a labyrinth of immersive otherworldly Realms.

In moments of respite, build yourself a vast estate using a variety of tilesets, and furnish it with all manner of decor, workstations, and comforts.

As you master Fae magick, harness the power of Realm Cards and unlock further challenges across procedurally-generated worlds teeming with adventure.

Prepare to make your way through Faewild forests, harrowing swamps, and shimmering deserts as you unlock the portals leading deeper into the lands of Fae. Cook meals, build shelter and muster the spirit to persevere in the face of adversity.

Craft tools to harvest trees, ore, and plants, along with rarer resources found deep in the realms. Discover new schematics and assemble the equipment and weapons you need to survive. Using specialized ingredients and arcane technologies, you can enhance your gear with magical properties.

Design and construct your Realmwalker homestead, and shelter from the dangers of the Faewilds. Unlock new tilesets, workbenches, and decorations, and expand your base into an impressive estate. Recruit an NPC to help harvest resources as you work to grow your property.

Venture freely through vast, open-world realms where breathtaking visuals immerse you in a mystical Gaslamp Fantasy universe. Uncover the abandoned remnants of past Realmwalker expeditions, delve into the enigmatic architecture of the Fae, and explore the perilous depths of Sites of Power dungeons and forsaken ruins. With each portal you cross, you'll find beauty and danger intertwined, waiting to be discovered.

Adventure solo, or play cooperatively with your friends in an online shared-world realmscape. Combine your strengths, skills, and resources to survive and thrive together. Work together to build communal estates, join up in uncovering the mysteries of the realms, and unite in facing the challenges of the Fae.

Craft and wield an array of melee and ranged weapons to confront the formidable creatures lurking within the portal network, including the twisted Fae imitations of humanity known as the Bound. Prepare for epic boss battles in treacherous dungeons and the ultimate showdown with colossal apex creatures in the Realms' most distant, dangerous reaches.

Travel beyond the Storied Realms wielding the power of Realm Cards to explore expansive procedurally-generated worlds brimming with new dangers, discoveries, and rewards. Go further by crafting Minor Realm Cards and alter the world around you—from reducing gravity to boosting resource yields, or even harvesting meat from trees, the possibilities are endless!

This game use to be fun until the last update, now your friends can't set the same home realm as you and if someone goes through a portal everyone goes through. The only way around this is to pay for a server through gportal. Edit to this comment, I got a gportal server just to play with friends and there's still the issue where if you want to go travel another realm everyone on the server has to go through too which is annoying since before you could go through portals on your own without effecting the others in the game.

So much promise, so little delivered. As you can see, I have well over 200 hours in. I'm not wasting anymore time on writing a detailed review, but I need to register a down vote for this game in it's current state. Very repetitive, very grindy. Some things make absolutely no sense. The best thing I can say about this game is maybe wait until it's out of Early Access. They might figure out what they're trying to do, and if done right, this game could be amazing. It's a long ways from here, though.

As much potential as this game had I'm sadly going to have to leave a thumbs down for this game. I log in after taking a break only to get some sort of strange network error and find my home with all my crafting tables and stored mats simply gone, respite zone is still there but there is nothing. I'm not about to grind again just to have some bug wipe my progress for a third time.

After a rough start the devs have corrected and upgraded most of this game to this final form and I have to say that they really did a wonderful job. The game as it is right now is very enjoyable, incredibly beautiful and quite exciting. I am currently playing it with my wife and we are both having a great time.

In my opinion, a vast improvement on what it was at launch. They overhauled it completely, it seems, and now the crafting aspect of the game is quite fun. There is a story you're working through as you're working on upgrading your gear. I, personally, enjoy the grind of working toward the next round of upgrades and equipment. In terms of building...there is still room for improvement there. It's a bit clunky getting the building elements where you want them, but not unworkable. More choices in customizing the appearance of your buildings and gear would be nice, but I went from playing the game for about a week at launch an then ignoring it, to playing it nonstop for (according to Steam) 362 hours.

This is a solid game. The changes that the creators have implemented over time are all for the better. I would like to see some more content, quests and the like, but it is a fun game as is.

Really not sure what all the hate is about. This game runs well, it's beautiful, the controls are smooth for the most part, and combat is pretty Skyrim-esque. Granted, I'm not super far into the game yet, but I'm having an absolute blast exploring and building. I'd definitely recommend checking it out. You'll know in the first couple hours if it's for you or not so it's well within the refund window. It's definitely worth your time if you're looking for something fresh.

We play a lot of survival-crafting games in 2-player co-op mode, and even though thematically Nightingale looked interesting, the game itself felt very lackluster. It's like it tries too hard, but it just doesn't deliver. The progression with the technology tree was incredibly tedious to work with, and even more so when playing with a controller. It became an exercise in frustration to actually try to build something, first due to the confusing tech tree, and second because aligning the buildings on the ground for them not to be crooked seemed nigh impossible. This needs a lot of work if it ever wants to compete with the likes of Valheim or Enshrouded.

This game sucks man...you sit down to play for a few minutes and the next thing you know 3 hours have gone by. That's what I call engagement. I am soooo glad I decided to get this game. Lost of fun and tricky puzzles to solve as well as the great quest so far.
