I choose to believe that Ida and Totem are gay lovers.

One of the most beautiful mobile games ever, finally made it way to the PC. I must admit, it loses a little bit of its charm when you control its impossible geometries with a mouse, rather than move them around with your fingers on a touch screen. However, the ability to enjoy it on a wide screen more than makes up for it. Can't recommend it enough!

Much more of a visual experience than a puzzle game. The game introduces several mechanics, like changing the perspective, rotating or sliding elements, but the complexity never increases beyond what feels like a tutorial (except in a few later stages). Many "puzzle" elements unfold without your input, and the game is too often like watching a cutscene. I would only recommend it for young kids. If you are a young kid reading these lines, well met. Young kid, heed my advice and play Baba Is You instead of this shite.

I played this over 2 sessions. The first session was the base game with a controller. The second was the DLCs with a mouse. This game is easier to play with a mouse, but just a little harder with a controller. I like the art style of the game. The music is also a good background, and a good fit for the game. Otherwise, I love the concept of using optical illusions to make puzzles, and it's not too hard to grasp the gameplay. I very much recommened this game to everyone who liked chill, puzzle games.

Wow wow wow. Not a single bad thing to say about this game, completely beautiful in every way. The sounds, the art, the puzzles, all top tier. I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought this game, it was recommended to me because I like puzzlers. This game has similar mechanics and puzzles as The Bridge (which is one one of my favorites) but has art similar to GRIS (also a winner!). It took just over 4 hours to complete all 19 levels and I'm pretty proud of myself for completing all the puzzles without any help/clues. Tremendous game, I bought it on sale for $2.79 but would probably pay the full amount. If you like puzzle games, this is absolutely for you. I'm excited to play 2 and 3 next!

I showed FEZ to my normie colleagues and they said "Is this a discount Monument Valley?", which prompted me to check this game. Yep, it's a normie pick, which doesn't come as a surprise since it is pretty popular on mobile devices. The gameplay is very linear and tedious, playing through levels feels like a chore that solving puzzles, and having the main character that slowly walks from one point to another or mechanisms that are not really wonky when controlled by a mouse doesn't help either. FEZ, while not being too difficult, required your active input and had a lot of diverse game elements. The cherry on top is the game being too short for its full price, like I beat it in 2 hours, clearing all the levels in it. That being said, even 2 hours is a waste of one's time if these 2 hours are spent on a boring game.

A cute puzzle game centered around perspective and M. C. Escher staircases. Each level introduces a small mechanic meaning each step is not much more difficult than the last, but by the end of it you really feel your brain twisting trying to get to the solution. At 3 hours its long enough to feel satisfied that that the mechanics have been explored but it doesn't outstay its welcome.

If you want to progress through the game, forget everything you learned in physics and geometry! This game will push your puzzle-solving skills to further extremes than even I thought possible, leaving you with all sorts of mechanisms to adjust and employ to find the solution. Overall, I highly recommend playing this game if you're even so much as curious about puzzle games!
