Playtest available till middle of September

As part of Feedback Quest 8, we have made our Playtest available again!

This playtest will be available until the middle of September, so do try it out and let us know what you think in the Steam discussion forums! If you've never played Feisty Fauna before, we recommend that you play the demo to experience the tutorial and first level, before trying out the levels in the playtest.

Feisty Fauna's campaign is complete, and in this playtest, you'll be able to experience the last 3 levels of the campaign. In particular, you will explore the Fungi Fields and Wintry Woods biomes, meet new characters, and learn more about the storyline.

Warning: you will see spoilers to the story if you haven't played the first 3 levels in earlier playtests.

Campaign done!

We're happy to announce that the campaign for Feisty Fauna is complete! There are 6 levels in the campaign, telling the story of Peppermint rescuing her kidnapped chicks, and getting to know other feisty fauna through the process.

In the campaign, you will traverse three different biomes: Groovy Grassland, Fungi Fields, and Wintry Woods. Here's a sneak peak of Fungi Fields and Wintry Woods:

Yes, there will be dinosaurs (some with poison) in Fungi Fields ☺️

And you will encounter ice golems in Wintry Woods 🥶

We are excited to share this update with you, as we continue our game development process and polishing the game for release!

Lunar New Year event available

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, you can now access a side storyline for the Lunar New Year, where Peppermint visits Tian Ting.

Peppermint will have to survive a menagerie of animals in Tian Ting in order to restore the natural zodiac cycle.

The Lunar Near Year story is available in our campaign / story-mode, and also in the classic mode (without a story). Try it out today and let us know what you think in the Steam Discussion Forum!

Halloween story available now

To celebrate the spooky month of October, we have added a side storyline for Halloween, where Peppermint visits the Haunted Hinterlands.



Peppermint will have to survive the spooky inhabitants of Haunted Hinterlands in order to uncover the mystery of the portal that opened in her farm.

The Halloween story is available in our campaign / story-mode, and also in the classic mode (without a story). Try it out today and let us know what you think!

This playtest will be available until the middle of September, so do try it out and let us know what you think!

We have revamped Peppermint's skills, so now you can have skill combos! For example, egg-splode + cotton candy gives you the following combination:



There are many different combinations you can try out in our playtest! We have also lifted the max level limit, so you can level an unlimited number of times in the playtest, just like you would in the full game.

In addition, we have added a minigame that you can try out, through the Play->Minigame option from the main menu. In the mini-game, you control a squirrel named Caramel who is helping Chestnut save animals:

This playtest will be available until the end of March, so do try it out and let us know what you think!

There are 3 campaign levels available in the playtest, which completes the first story beat of the campaign. Besides Peppermint and Vanilla, Honey the loving dog is also available as a playable character in the campaign (if you unlock her).

During the game (outside of the farm), you can now change the camera angle! To do so, you can use the right joystick on the gamepad, or right-click and drag the mouse. The camera angle is not currently saved across levels.

About the Game

Feisty Fauna is a ridiculously cute survivors-like / bullet heaven with a storyline, where you're a mom rescuing her kidnapped chicks. You'll have to survive as you hunt other cute animals in this eat-or-be-eaten animal world. Meet other cute, diverse characters and learn their backstories and motivations!
