Not perfect, but very darn close. Resist is supremely fun, for those who can stomach it. The game is based around a simple premise: You've got a grappling hook on each hand and a small city to swing trough and it executes it about as well as I could have hoped for. There are some issues, like how you can't use both grappling hooks at the same time or how you will automatically detach if you loose acceleration (makes it hard to do loopy-loops), but these are small caveats in what is one of the most fun VR game mechanics I've ever seen. The game is simply very fun. You've got either automatic twin pistols for continuous fire or a pair of shotguns for those who prefer drive-by style attacks. You've also got a jetpack for minor trajectory adjustments during swinging and a bullet time power for either swinging or shooting, but before I praise the game more, I have to say some thing I hate about it. The game is short and I mean SHORT. Two, two and a half hours of time between start ...
Instead of playing story I mostly just swing around the city. Deffinetely recommending to purchase! I love fighting crawlers, they make you swing around like HELL! I never get any vertigos in VR but this game made me experience slight motion sickness but I LOVE IT
First review I've ever done on a game and unfortunately it's not a good one. The controls for the game just felt awful really, I thought that it'd feel like playing a Spider-Man VR game but I'm constantly thrown off course when it comes to swinging. It feels like the game is trying to desperately hold your hand when you do, well anything really. Despite changing the controls multiple times to what feels right to me, there just wasn't anything to make the movement mechanics feel good at all when it's either HMD trajectory or Controller trajectory when flying through the air after swinging. The games not for me but if you want to try it out, get the game on sale cause how it is, it's not worth it full price.
It took me 6 hours to complete to complete the story and 50% of the side content. The gameplay is a mix of swinging from buildings, guns and jetpacks. The game takes up less than 5gb of storage. I don't like the characters in this game, they are rather annoying, the story isn't particularly good either. Overall I would recommend this game it frequently goes on sale and is fun to play. 7/10
