Unfortunately, I cannot give this game a thumbs-up because it is practically in an unfinished state. Nevertheless, there are some good things. Good Stuff: - The setting is very original. I like the idea of a hotel receptionist during the night. - Finally, some good female character design. The main character neither looks like a tomboy nor like a pornstar. - The skirt mechanic was pretty nice. Bad Stuff (Ordered from worst to mild): - Very unstable. It crashes if you play too long. - The run speed is very slow to me. It takes ages to go to the required hotel room. - It would be good to have a save checkpoint (e.g at the half of the game). - Seems kind of poorly optimised. While gameplay is smooth, I can hear my laptop screaming. - Other than the skirt mechanic, the character movement seems very robotic. - It would be nice if you got rid of the Text-to-Speech because it sounds very awkward. The voice acting can be done for example by you and some friends. Don't be discouraged. It d...

Thanks you, Babe. It's a poorly made asset flip that quickly loses its jank charm and relies on a screaming jump scare both in game and afterwards in the title screen.
For a buck or two you get exactly this: A beautiful rendered motel to walk around for 30 minutes. Some of the worst voice acting I have ever heard in my life. Ever. Certainly lost in translation. 2-3 Jumpscares. Played on Epic settings there is actually a nice atmosphere to the game. For $1.50 its priced right.
So where to start with this one... OK so as many have pointed out, the setting of a hotel is quite good and you get to pet the kitty at the start! but thats about all I have to say thats really great about this one. Im just going to list what I didnt like and what could be done to fix it in my own humble opinion. * Way too short, This can be finished even as a first time player in under 30 mins. maybe 20 if you know what your doing. I noticed when walking around there is a room you can see into and clearly there is interiors in some of the rooms so they could have been utilized. also
The generator room could have had a minigame of some sort to open it maybe? seemed anticlimatic to press E on the door and a spoop jumpscare jpg hit you
there is a lot of untapped potential here in this map * The voices and Voice acting. I can only assume it was translated with Google Translate then ran through a Text-To-Speech for the "Voice Acting". Im fairly sure some people wou...
I'm pretty torn. I want to completely rip on the game, but I a paid a god damn dollar. I wanted to be funny about the review, and I was very close to writing a stupid analogy, but nah. If you want a few horrible jumpscares, this is the game for you.
Game needs a lot of work but I had to stop playing when the little girl accused the main character of wanting to take her to a dark corner to touch her. That's a little much. No thanks.
Too many bugs
Sloooooow walking to handle guest requests and complaints. The only horror in that is the tedium. Lost girl never appeared. Next task is in the staff room- door will not open. I'm done.
When you buy budget games on Steam, it's like playing Russian roulette. Sometimes you may find a hidden gem, while other times you get a stale dog turd. While "Paranormal Motel" admittedly isn't the worst game I've ever played, it definitely does give me that "you get what you pay for" energy. On the plus side, the graphics are quite nice and the environment pretty realistic. The game is a little bit on the short side (you'll beat it in about half an hour), but it gets the job done. Conversely, there's a lot of issues at play here. First and foremost; the game is rife with grammar errors, almost as if the script was fed through Google Translate. The game uses those crappy AI voices where I think it would've served the game better to use real voice actors. Your player character walks VERY slowly, and even running doesn't really help the slow movement. For some reason there's a lot of file bloat, it doesn't really make sense to me why the game is 11 GB (I really hope it isn't mining cr...
