Grit and Valor - 1949

I ultimately can't recommend this game, despite thinking it's not essentially a bad game. It could hit right for certain people, but I don't see most playing for a long time for a roguelite. The main problem with the game is that it doesn't feel tactical enough, contrary to what the previews suggest. Most of the gameplay boils down to moving your mechs close to the enemy and watching as they attack. The mechs move too slowly and don't fire when moving, so there's no real reason to move them while in active combat. You'd only lose hp by doing so. The whole game just feels like you need to hope for the best, as there's not much you can do to increase your chances of winning. The mechs do have 1 active ability each, but they barely make a difference in the way you'd play. The most useful is with the first mech, allowing you to jump to a farther tile. The mobility can be helpful, but ultimately doesn't make a difference if you're only taking out one enemy, then it immediately goes back t...

Company of Heroes meet Into the Breach...what a great little game this is...Pretty graphics and amazing gameplay...Get it, you will not regret it!!! 10/10

Grit and Valor is a great attempt at RTS rogue-like which is suspiciously missing from existence. Like Bad North it is mostly a positioning game and feels a little thin in mechanics but at least they tried to do something original. The progression is nice and has some meat to it. If you like RTS you could enjoy this.

i suck at RTS games, too many units for me to manage i suck but this? this small scale RTS game is much easier for me to manage and a lot more fun. straight to the action, lots of movement and thinking on my feet, reminds me a bit of the squad based action from dawn of war 2. its good, fun, and its gotten a LOT of love since release and its in a much more fun state then at release. give it a go i bet its nothing like youve played before and itll surprise you.

great game, I love how this game keeps evolving even after EA...

Seems to be all about dumping more lootboxes than you can keep a track of. The upgrades and unlocks are so frequent as to be annoying. Repetitive gameplay. Buggy. Far to noisy and flashy for a strategy game.
