About This Game

The war between Hell and the Above needs a constant supply of weapons. Manage your resources and craft a variety of magical items.

Dead Profit is a time management game, although resources and item forging happens passively (idle), everything can be optimized for best performance. The more orders you fill means new requests, unlock new resources, forge items & enchants. After finishing the main campaign, the orders are randomly generated so you must be prepared for any request.

Production

Filling orders require you to have the right resource, creating the right item each needing a different amount of resources and then enchanting/selling the item. To enchant an item you must time it right or it fails, enchanting multiple items in a row without it failing will stack a combo meaning the item sells for more.

Orders

Orders come in for items and you have a limited time to craft/enchant the requested amount, if you don't manage to fill the order in time the orders will come again to have a second shot. You wont be able to fill every order but once you know what its for you can prepare all the necessary items ready for when it comes back around. With the different combinations of resource/forge item/enchants it allows for hundreds of different orders.
After the main orders have been completed they are randomly generated meaning there is a constant supply and new challenges.

Artifacts

Once your getting further into the game you will be able to craft an "artifact" these are powerful weapons once owned by high ranking members of Hell's army. They offer passive and active abilities such as buffs to harvesting/forging Speed, increased sell value ect...
There is a bank to store resources, artifacts consume them to grow in power allowing for infinite scaling and optimization.

Stats & Collectables

For all of you like us who enjoy seeing the numbers and efficiency of you production, stats can be viewed. Try and beat your highest combo or item sell value.

I bought the game and spent a few hours in. Since it's in early access, I thought it was okay. But the latest update is too much for me. Dev seems to have no idea where his game is going. Half of this game is just... placeholders for "later update" but dev is asking the community to give some idea for the game. When an update is released, there is more and more empty features with "Will add the rewards later". And now he is telling us that he will raise the price tag later ? Does he realise that his game is actualy more empty than every free part of every idle/clicker free to play games ? @Dev : Please, focus on adding content and balance actual content rather that just adding placeholders again and again and tell us that you will later raise the prize.

There's early-access minimalist casual games - then there's this. 8/10, made me enjoy cleaning the dishes. Don't buy it. The aptly named 'Dead Profit' fulfils the absolute minimum requirements to be classified as software. It roughly approximates a game. In purchasing this Skinner Box, you will experience: - A gameloop that will addle your brain, yet provide just enough dopaminergic activity to keep those now deficient brain cells pressing buttons. - 20 minutes of purchasing upgrades that make no difference to gameplay. - Watch your money continue to rise, cursed with the rapidly dawning knowledge that it can't be spent on anything - "Just One More Turn", as you commit to complete another order. Not because you want to. But because now you must. - Progressively demanding orders. There's no real difference between them, but some will arbitrarily take 9 times as many resources for a marginal increase in value. Consequently, hold your head in your hands when you receive a 'So...

Cool concept, and very great for such an early release. I've obviously unlocked pretty much everything already, but I know there will be more content in the future. For the next release I would like to see windowed mode as well as a way to disable sounds. There is also an issue where my antivirus tries to block the game. I would look into that if I were you :) I will update my review when you later update the game.

The game is pretty bare bones as of now, but it's enjoyable. The only problem that I have is that the menu on the top gets clipped out on my 32" monitor.

What a game! Seriously addictive, you aren't going to want to stop making acid arrows when you start :D I can't wait to see what new features come out for this game in the future, but right now, I give it 10/10!!!

I am loving this game and have gotten far. The only thing I haven't unlocked is the factions and that is coming up soon. I cannot wait to see what else is going to happen!

Fun to start with but hits a wall. There's nothing about it currently that makes me interested in progressing further past Tier 1, it would just be pure grind

The game is far too barebones, even for an Early Access title. I'll echo what others have said: There is way too much placeholder content and not enough "stuff" to do. It's very grindy as-is. I normally have no problems with grindy games if there are appreciable milestones to aim for, but the game is currently aimless. I'll change my review in the future if the game shows significant progess, but for now I cannot recommend. Edit: This game is probably abandoned, so I'd suggest avoiding it for now.
