The first few play-throughs I died within the first three rooms, but after I learned the magic of 'prepare' early game it became a lot more fun to strategize and build a team. I like collecting as many old men Pestos as possible and basing my team on what I thought he would appreciate. Its fun that each play can be a different strategy and team, it keeps it from being boring. However, you may rage quit when you release an enemy you wanted to keep.
An interesting approach to a rogue-like. There are so many combination possibilities and branches each play though has to offer its almost insane. It feels good when your get a run going while dealing with the juggling/stacking of your limited friend slots. And the companions are complete game changers. Some of the intersections can be a bit confusing and the game could use more visual clarity in what monster is on what path. But as minor a complaint that is. This game has the making of some crazy fun! I am enjoying the "YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND" approach to defeated enemies. Makes me want to go slap a fire chicken.
This is such a cute game! The art style definitely feels like a storybook come to life and the game play is smooth. I like that each time you play you get a different experience so it doesn't get boring after a few rounds. There's a few glitches here and there but its in early access so that's to be expected. There have already been multiple updates so the devs are active and very responsive to any issues reported. It's not the type of game I would normally play but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend it!
In one word- surprising. I'll be honest- that's not the kind of game I'd usually play, but I said I'd give it a try due to it's cute aesthetics. Don't be fooled though. For a game that looks so charming and sweet it was quite intense, I could feel the true rogue-like experience. In the three runs I went through so far, not only did I have to consider my path carefully valuing risk against reward, I also had to think inside the battle itself, depending on the build I chose to try and do for each. Would definitely recommend for strategic thinkers and risk takers. Disclaimer: I wouldn't say it's the best game I've ever played, but considering its price and the fact it was made by only three people, I think it worths a shot.mend for strategic thinkers and risk takers.
The combination of really cute graphics and immersive sound and music is what made me interested to the game. Even though I haven't got very far in the adventure, it is visible that there are more and more interesting things happening. I also really like how the roguelike style unfolds the story.
It's a great concept, the game is still pretty rough around the edges right now. Performance is very bad on my old computer with no options to adjust anything besides volume but the gameplay loop is fun and with some work this will be a very excellent game.
bone are there just needs more fleshing out i think this game is a super fun idea and i'm really hype to see where it goes also i think the dev just immediately started working on a bug i sent and that's insane very cool
Fun little time killer with cute graphics and turn base combat. Moves appear to be randomly generated upon every level up adding roguelike elements to the game. On top of that a pet mechanic is in the game were you can befriend the wild creatures encountered on the map that net you passive perks and bonuses. The game is bare bones but still a fun time to mess around and kill some time with.
This game is very fun. Every time you start a new play through there's a lot of different ways to play so you never feel bored. I love the art style too. Spidercrabs4life
