Machine Gun Fury

Machine Gun Fury is a homage to old classics like Jackal, Commando and Contra made in the best way possible. The game is simple, walk around shooting everything and throwing some grenades for good measure, but still, the game is extremely addicting and fun. Simple controls, simple graphics, simple sounds, but a very challenging gameplay that will grant you HOURS of fun. For the price, this game is a no brainer, get it now and have LOADS of fun!!!

Retro goodness. I just wish this game were a twin stick shooter. Floyd is the guy you want to choose during the earlier stages (less damage taken), and Suzi (faster) during the jumping levels. Excellent game that would greatly benefit with twin stick controls to be a more directional shooter. It is what it is and I already told like 5 people into retro games that they must check Machine Gun Fury out. Old school gamers will be impressed.

This game is fun to play. I like the variety of levels that switches things up. Awesome game.

Machine Gun Fury, is one of those games which is equally addictive as it is frustrating. It took me a while to get the hang of it, that is most probably just my bad gaming skills :) Once I did, I was totally hooked. Like the old arcade machines it is paying homage to, you just keep on trying to better your score. This game is a great way to step away from reality and challenge your reflexes - take control of a weapon and shoot your way through waves of enemies. Gorgeous graphics make this game a joy to play. I would definitely recommend it, if you are looking for a gem of an arcade game.

6/10 Machine Gun Fury is an alright throwback to the 90s run and gun shooter like contra or shock troopers, sporting 5 top down levels and 3 side view. The gameplay is about what you would expect if you have played other games from that era, and comes with an arcade mode (5 lives and gameover) and a standard mode (one life but infinite continues) with 3 difficulties, so its accessible to both vets and newcomers. The action is enjoyable enough to earn a reccomendation if you have already played all the top tier games from that genre and still want more, but it does have issues. For one, its only an hour long. Yeah thats kinda par for the course but its still worth mentioning. Another issue, is there is no strafe or aimlock, which makes dodging bullets in the top down levels trickier than it needs to be. Also, there are issues with walls. Some of them you can shoot through and others you can't with no rhyme or reason. And then there are some enemies can shoot through but you can't. Weapo...
