Shyftrs is a 2D hand-drawn single-player Metroidvania adventure, blending dark fantasy with mythic storytelling and stylish visuals. Inspired by legends and cultures across history, it invites players into a vibrant, mysterious world where every step forward uncovers secrets buried in time.

You’ll take on the role of Brams, a young apprentice from the prestigious House of Corvin—one of Esos’ most renowned families of explorers. When your parents vanish during a secret expedition, your search for answers leads you through an unimaginable twist of fate: you’re suddenly transported to Ikarus, a strange and beautiful world.

As Brams, you’ll explore the mythical lands of Ikarus and its hidden dimension—the Astral World, a surreal bridge between Ikarus and Esos. Along your journey, you’ll unravel the truth of your family’s legacy, uncover your mysterious ancestry, and face creatures and powers that defy reason.

The team has been working non-stop. Our first objective was to obtain an initial funds to push the development of Shyftrs, and we were successful in receiving funding from CODE NZ last December 2022 and the recent one last August 2024. We are incredibly thankful of the CODE NZ team's assistance in guiding Shyftrs.
