If you are a fan of extremely tight and utterly satisfying combat and exploring beautiful landscapes, than this is the game for you. Being forced to play combat encounters slow, at first, gets the player to actually learn what it is they are doing. But once you get into the rhythm of it, it becomes so good. Pulling off parry after parry and breaking the shield of the enemy just makes all the good feelings go. The art direction is nothing less than eye candy, sure it doesn't have the most elaborate of sprites, but I would argue that the simplicity just adds to it since it allows your mind to not get distracted and focus on everything as a whole, like not getting completely curb stomped by deities and monsters. Music, ambiance and general sfx are what gives the game its identity, and Worldless most certainly delivers. The mix of choir, synth, and drones make you feel as though you are in a grand void or echoing chamber where you are the reason why everything is going the way it is. Th...

There are some issues but overall its amazing. The areas really do all look distinct but all beautiful, with really good music to paint the atmospheres even better. The combat is a nice flow of learning timings, weaknesses, and parrying feels great. But some of the enemies gimmicks are very strange and annoying to learn, or sometimes harder than the bosses. The map is.. there at best, confusing and unhelpful at worst, it really does not help, it can be great to traverse and explore but it can become very tiring to backtrack or find new areas and trying to manage memory and a useless map. Overall, some issues but still very worth it and a very good game.

6/10 The
ending
is super disappointing. You prep your health, skill, endurance and 10 hrs of your time for it, only for it to be a nothing burger. Why even have a game about lore and adventure, only to end up like that.... Add on, how and why is the secret boss is being gate-keep by platforming? And not only that, 4-6 of your achievement is locked behind this. I understand that some people like platforming ( like HK Path of Pain ) but you could just have another door for some ppl to just fight the secret boss. If you think I'm being unreasonable, think of it like this: there are some people who like platforming and are willing to spend 2-4 hrs of their time learning the platforming while there are others like me who just dont care about it and just want to play for the combat. Because of this, you have a small sub-group of ppl who will missed out on the secret boss ( because we arent willing to waste time ) and because of the ^ above spoiler, we dont have any clo...

I cannot recommend this game enough, the gameplay, both platforming and combat flows well (don't get me started on the combos you can pull out your ass). On top of this the music and visuals? absolutely god damn unreal. I genuinely stopped pressing buttons to listen to the music while the I watched the scenery- it's crazy. I'll try not to spoil much but the story and especially one of the endings (one of my favourite ever) has some of the best execution I've ever seen. The story is so perfect in a way where it conveys exactly what it is through visual clues alone (, minus that one race of creature thingos but that makes sense as you play), and piecing together the plot and next objective felt good, even if it was a little trivial (looking at you green petals). To summarise, the atmosphere is top tier, gameplay is enjoyable and flows well and holy crap I haven't been so invested in a story since playing Undertale/Deltarune/Celeste (all peak btw). Certainly worth your time and money i...

For the first hour or so I thought "this is pretty good, but I don't get all the praise. Maybe the game just isn't for me?" However, a certain event later in the game completely changed my opinion. The game opened up more and all its combat and traversal mechanics clicked in the most satisfying way! I highly recommend this one!

If there's anything this game has nailed outside of the gorgeous art style, it's making you feel like a badass for pulling off cool moves. I parried the spear of Longinus and sent it back at its owner.
