About This Game

In LEGO® Bricktales, discover an innovative brick-by-brick building mechanic to design puzzle solutions from your own imagination. See your creations brought to life in a beautiful LEGO world where every problem has a constructive resolution.

Embark on an epic adventure across a world of beautiful LEGO diorama biomes crafted brick by brick as you search for inspiration to help your grandfather reinvigorate his rundown amusement park with your little robot buddy in tow. Your journey will take you to the deepest jungle, sun-drenched deserts, a bustling city corner, a towering medieval castle, and tropical Caribbean islands. Help the minifigures of these worlds by solving puzzles and unlock new skills throughout the story to further explore these worlds and uncover the many secrets and mysteries they contain.

From purely aesthetic creations, such as a market stand or music box, up to functional physics-based puzzles like building a crane or gyrocopter - each diorama offers a variety of construction spots with the freedom of intuitive brick-by-brick building. In each spot you are given a set of bricks and it’s up to you to figure out a unique build that will work. On top of specific puzzles and quests, there are additional builds in the amusement park so you can customize the rides to make them your own!

Your grandfather, a genius inventor, has called you for help! His beloved amusement park is about to close as the mayor is threatening to shut everything down and seize the land if the necessary repairs aren’t made to bring it up to code. With the help of your powerful little robot buddy, you can restore it using a mysterious device based on alien technology.

As a source of power, the device needs happiness crystals, which you can harvest by making people happy and solving their problems. With the aid of a portal, travel to different locations all around the world to help people and collect their happiness crystals. Strap in for the ultimate building adventure and save your grandfather’s amusement park!

Im a bigger fan of the puzzle part of the lego games, the combat in your average lego game is pretty dog water imo. This game is all puzzle. It even has elements of a metroidvania for people who wish to 100% the game. Its pretty short, i would love to have a longer experience but that's a testament to just how fun the game itself is. it doesnt feel unfinished but it does feel a bit too simple at times. The movement and gameplay really compliment lego, it feels like you are actually controlling a mini-figure and just playing with legos to progress. Side note it looks way better when the mini figures dont bend in weird unnatural non lego ways. The stiff stop-motion like animation is where its at.

I really want to love this game, because the building mechanics are very cool. But there is SO MUCH BACKTRACKING. It's crazy!!! Like, I get the game would be pretty short without it, but this is ridiculous!! Only buy this if you can persevere through it all...

Its not what I expected. Its just a series of physics puzzles without any development of techniques in an organic manner. No guidance on what pieces even do or how to use them. I just cheesed the first few puzzles, then hit one that I have NFI about. There is not even any hint system, and everyone seems to suggest to just look up solutions online. The story is pretty simplistic, the controls arent the best, and the movement is awkward. Just not fun,,,, Refund requested.

LEGO Bricktales offers a refreshing and imaginative twist on the LEGO game formula. Unlike the typical action-focused entries in the series, this one leans into a more peaceful, puzzle-oriented experience with a charming story and creative concept. It really stands out with its focus on problem-solving and building, which feels like a heartfelt return to the core of what LEGO is all about. That said, the gameplay can feel a bit rough around the edges at times—some mechanics seem underdeveloped or cheaply implemented. But the building system, especially the sandbox mode, is a definite highlight. It’s nostalgic, fun, and sparks creativity in a way that feels true to the LEGO spirit. 6.5/10 – A brilliant concept with great building mechanics, though the gameplay could use more polish.

A cozy, and simple game, the only thing that can be difficult and frustrating are some of the building sections where the instructions aren't quite clear and you have to build oddly shaped items.
