Wylde Flowers

After reading all the positive reviews and being a fan of games like stardew valley and the my time series, I decided to try this game. However, I found it felt a bit empty and very slow, with the game progressing slowly, becoming repetitive quickly, and I found it lacking goals or directions so I wasn't sure what to do. I also spend a lot of time just running around and waiting to get across the map since I needed to collect certain things on the other side of town and there was no quick way to get there.

Normally, this is totally my genre of game. But, I have never played a game with romance options where I couldn't even pretend to want to choose one of the options. All the characters feel so fake, like a committee generated a word cloud of traits the character should have and then didn't employ an author to actually give the characters any feeling of self. So, I tried just focusing on the gameplay, but so many other games have done the format so much better. I was hoping that the magic would set it apart, but it's just another skin for mechanics in non-magical games. Maybe, it gets better late game, but I am too bored with the game to push through the monotony.

I wanted to like this but it just didn't hit for me. It seems to be just a task game where you follow the story line with no ability to free explore. It feels like it would have very little replay-ability.

I love the relationships with the character but get frustrated with the cost of items vs time it takes to get/grow/get items to sell

Love love love! Super cosy and cute farming/magic sim with very little stress involved but plenty to do!

Fun, cozy game so far with a variety of characters that aren't cookie cutter and boring. They have stories to tell and wisdom to share. Good objectives that aren't too easy too achieve but not crazy hard (so far).

The game never punishes you for missing a day or going at your own pace, which makes it so relaxing to play. But what really hooked me was the story and magic. It’s not just another “farm and make friends” game — it’s layered with witchy secrets, spells, and an entire magical community in Ravenwood Hollow that makes the world feel alive. I couldn’t stop playing because every day felt like there was something new to discover. The characters are also a huge highlight. Fun game. It has a nice blend of keeping you busy but letting you keep a pace that works for you- especially as you gradually incorporate witchy perks. I think it does a great job finding a good balance and being flexible per the person playing. Looking forward to their next game.
