I'm sure there's a good game in here somewhere...
Sadly, its all completely lost in the form of absolutely appalling optimisation; there is no acceptable reason a game such as this should run so badly, especially on hardware & software that easily trumps its original home. Next; truly, unbelievably horrible weapon-swapping mechanics that I can only assume have been ported over to PC by somebody that's never played anything outside of a console in their lives, who then went on to contract that work out to a bunch of kids looking for work experience. Every time I ran out of ammo, FORCING me to switch to another weapon, I just accept I am now going to die, because it takes so freakin' long to switch weapon - remembering how to do it is half the battle - honestly, I think I could crack the enigma code faster than I can change weapons in this game...after a few hours of battling this irritating nonsense, I reluctantly resorted to physically beating all my tar...

Amazing game, some technical issues with crashing now and again, but the story is top notch and I highly recmmend it.
If you like good story and immersion - its a five stars game. If you all your life played on PC and expect certain standards - fuck this game (or rather that one studio executive who gave go ahead for PC release). Why does they even port this game to PC if they dont put the work required for it to be properly adapted for PC. Cause they like money and they think PC players will put up with this shit. Out of the blue request to connect PS4 controller alone is an insult enough. The mechanics are ridiculously frustrating and combat mechanics are important in the game where half the enemies can one-shot you. Studio gets the award for making such a great game so frustrating.
i ugly cried nonstop for the last half hour of this game. it was not even nearly the first time i’d ugly cried over the course of the game. the last of us hits you in the gut time and time again. it’s really an experience that leaves you wondering, well, if this isn’t a work of art, then what is? the last of us isn’t my favorite video game of all time and i don’t think it’s the best one ever made, either, but i absolutely would not question someone for holding those opinions.
This game is great, when it runs. The constant crashes that I've been experiencing since hitting Pittsburgh are kinda unacceptable. Seems like a ram or vram leak or runaway issue. Hope they fix it as I'd like to play the second one as well. Going to unfortunately give the game a break and wait for maybe a patch or something, seems like its a common issue. Too bad as I was really into the game and enjoying it...
"Endure and survive."

Introduction
I can recall with crystal clarity sitting in front of my computer in 2013, having just finished The Last of Us for the first time, and being unequivocally emotionally moved that I began to write my first-ever review for a game. And here I am again, 12 years later, sitting at my computer, just as emotionally moved as I was back then, perhaps by different elements, perhaps by the same. But the one comparative factor is that The Last of Us was, and is, one of the best games I ever played. Period. This review is inclusive of playing the Left Behind dlc.

[th]🟩 Positives[/th] [th]🟥 Negatives[/th]

🟩A phenomenally well-written and paced storyline that never stops delivering breath-taking moments. 🟩 The difficulty is reasonably balanced and can be changed at any time to make the experience easier or harder based on preference. 🟩 Gameplay-wise, it delivers a fun, fast-paced actio...
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD GAME. like actually. just make sure youre mature enough for some weird scenes in the second part, and bunch of cuss words. but id rate it a 10/10.
A Masterful Narrative: The core of The Last of Us remains its most powerful asset. The emotional, brutal, and compelling journey of Joel and Ellie is universally praised as one of the greatest stories in video game history. For newcomers, this is the best possible way to experience it. For returning players, the updated visuals and character models bring new life and nuance to the familiar scenes. The story of survival, loss, and the nature of humanity is as impactful as ever. Stunning Visual Fidelity: The remake's graphics are a major highlight. Built on the same engine as The Last of Us Part II, the game features beautiful environments with enhanced lighting, textures, and shadows. The character models and facial animations are particularly praised for their realism, allowing for a deeper emotional connection with the characters. Refined Gameplay: While the underlying gameplay is still that of a game from 2013, the remake introduces subtle but meaningful improvements. These inc...
Beautiful story, beautiful graphics, beautiful game. 100% completion is 3/10 difficulty wise. Game itself is 9.2/10
A great game with a very cool storyline, atmosphere, graphics and characters. It is worth noting that the game is quite short by modern standards, I would like more gameplay. But it is definitely one of the best games of the decade and I advise everyone to play it. For such a terrible port from PlayStation to PC... a big "thank you" to everyone involved, and they are lucky that the game itself is so beautiful that the problem with the port recedes into the background.
