I'm loving this so far. It has the types of puzzles and creepy atmosphere I look for in this type of game. Plus, it's got an adorable giant spider, which is something Silent Hill was sorely lacking. It's working fine on my Steam Deck. So after playing for a few more hours, I wanted to add that this might be my all time favorite indie horror game. The fact that it still only has three reviews feels like a minor injustice.

This game is criminally underrated. Your Spider is undoubtedly one of the best horror-themed puzzle games I have ever tried, maybe even the second best (the first is and will always be DARQ). This game is very slow-paced and very challenging, it requires A LOT of patience, but it offers some of the most clever and brilliant puzzles I have ever seen. And speaking of atmosphere and world design, it is very hard even to describe how good they are. The plot itself is very shallow, maybe even trivial, but the setting, the narration, the colors, the sounds, the scenery, the creatures, the retro and vaguely steampunk technology, everything here screams "masterpiece". It's like... a Tim Burton's movie filtered through the lens of Silent Hill 2. Yes, it's exactly as cool as it sounds. Of course, there are some flaws, even important ones. For example, a few boss fights are unnecessarily long and tedious, with no variation, and the controls of the spider are waaaay too stiff, especially in those ...
This game is actually really really good. I thought it looked pretty corny before I bought it, but I get every horror game so I figured I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did. You can tell a lot of time and care went into making this game. I don't think I've come across any bugs so far, well except for a giant freaking spider. Speaking of spiders, this game has made me feel ways about spiders that only Lucas has done in the past.XD But seriously, I really do highly recommend this game. Some of the puzzles have been a bit difficult for me, but I'm terrible at puzzles, yet I subject myself to them constantly through horror games. If you're on the fence, I say go for it. It's way better than it seems like it would be. https://youtu.be/7Yh-HQ32_UA
Thy Arachnid
Love this game naturally. The Salticidae companion is wonderful but unfortunate that he lost his ability to jump, the pupils anthropomorphize his appearance but are not canon to his class, order, family and genus (which is unknown admittedly.) His eye placements and sizes are also peculiar for his genus, he appears to be missing his Posterior Lateral Eyes (PLE) while gaining another pair of anterior lateral eyes (ALE) making him easier to ambush, which explains how the character in the beginning was able to sneak up on him. The enclosure shown in the beginning was also unbecoming of a Salticidae enclosure, it was more horizontal and not enough vertical, though i do praise its side opening door that would not interfere with the companions nest webbing. It was quite unfortunate and torturous of our character to place such a heavy safe on our companions opisthosoma, specially knowing all the pressure that would be leaving on his heart located right underneath. Despite all these oversights...
So my overall review on this game is positive, but the puzzles are challenging - now don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good puzzle, but when it's challenging to the point where you can't figure it out because the game doesn't make sense or give you any helpful clues... it makes it really frustrating to want to keep playing. Other than that, the concept of the game is really cool and I think the spider is adorable! Being able to play as the spider and switch back and forth between human and spider is fun. Like I said, cool concept I just think the execution of the game could have been done a little better. I love playing Indie Horror Games and this one is worth checking out to me. I thought it would be a small game to beat in an hour, but so far I have 6 hours clocked and am still trying to beat it lol.
Your Spider is a very unique indie game I've played so far that I am sad to see that it doesn't have too much traction! I had a blast playing the game: getting to know story and the characters involved, getting to experience the hellish world the we apart of, great monster design, ect. I LOVED IT ALLLL One thing that I have issues with the game is with some boss battles, especially with the clown boss battle in the beginning of the game. Most of the time, I would figure out the mechanics of the each boss in this game and beat with persistence! But there were times where it felt unclear on what was I doing in the clown section and then when I figured out what I needed to do from looking at my inventory and seeing the map, it still felt unclear if I was doing something right. [spoiler] I hit all the explosive barrels but the clown still was not taking any more hits. Just figured out that I needed to continually the area where the control switch was at but nothing indicated that there...
This game was an unexpected surprise, it's quite good for the number of different things it tried to achieve. The Spider Sections are very nice and creative. Overall i would say i had a fun time with this game. But please, fix some of the bossfights. The car one in specific took me like 10+ minutes to beat due to how slow the boss health drops. Also, the healing items are almost useless, they heal very little.
