While there is not a lot of direction at first on where to go or what to do, you slowly start to figure things out (it legit took my first 30min or so to realize there’s actual levels and an adventure and not just two endless combat rooms to access). The sense of discovery and intrigue is off the charts with this one, and the first thing that attracted me to it was its vibe and art style. What I’ve experienced so far is an action adventure RPG/platformer with a rogue like mode on the side, and a really well made one. If you like any of those genres then this is definitely a game worth checking out. It almost invokes feelings and memories that the original 3 Spyro games did, along with classic Zelda, it’s hard to explain, but the the vibes and magic are there. A large majority of indie platformers big and small, especially those created in unity, have a cheap feel to them and tend to feel loose and floaty, but this game manages to avoid that and doesn’t feel cheap at all. Ideal game for anyone looking for simple fun and extreme nostalgia. The music and art design in the game are also top notch

This game is fun and satisfying. I enjoy it very much, HOWEVER... there's a couple bugs that need fixin' so I can actually beat the game. I got home from work today, right after seeing Ark Patrol post about it on Instagram, bought the game, and sank my entire night into it. It was fun, definitely got the 90's vibe. The music is great, the sound effects are powerful. The difficulty is a bit easy, as the hardest thing about the game is consistently hitting the glide lol. All in all- buy the game, it's worth it.

This game has a weird auro about it and I like that. It's different and is quite the work for a one man team. The soundtrack is also a banger. Gameplay impressions: https://youtu.be/J4ya7oZDAS0

This game really is aesthetically pleasing and one of the most visually diverse games I’ve seen in a while. Dialogue is funny, and gameplay is reminiscent of those 90s-2000s platformers. Soundtrack is out of this world. I feel like there could be some improvement with the combat, as sometimes I’m not sure who I’m attacking or if I’m hitting an enemy. Tightening up combat, or at least allowing you to “lock on” to an enemy, would help alleviate this. If combat is tightened, I would attribute it to feeling like a less complicated Kingdom Hearts when fighting. Which is a good thing. That was my biggest issue. Also, going back to the main menu every time after dying takes some of the immersion out of it. Small nitpick. Overall, game is fun and very interesting. Works perfectly on Steam Deck as well.

Love it!! Intoxicating game play with a relaxing soundtrack that is bound to have you playing for hours on end. Reminiscent of Spyro but absolutely unique and refreshing. Gives me the awe and wonder i used to have playing video games when i was a kid. Its a simple game but also complex. Not complex to the point where you get angry but to the point where you're so intrigued and excited to see what else the game has in store. I see myself playing this game whenever i want to sit back and just straight up have a good time. Major props to all who had a hand in making this one!

My favorite part of Pluto's Island is the world exploration pared with the music. I found myself locked in for an 8 hour play session before I knew it due to all the optional puzzles in the level design and world lore. Pluto's Island is truly a weird game with bizarre dialog that I believe most creatures/humanoids will find somewhat humors to very humors.

I never write reviews for games but this one deserves it. This game is dripping with 'ttude in a way that your brain may not even initially recognize. It strikes a rhythm bounces between light-hearted comedic jabs and heavy universal truths, and it has a visual vibe that immerses you in a different reality. This game is probably an aquarius but maybe also a pisces, made by a sagittarius. Makes sense? Beneath the thick skin of the vibe lives a humble but effective RPG/Action/Roguelike/Platformer/Adventure hybrid. Various random ability upgrades cause your playthroughs to vary in style and strategy. IE. Magic shot is great for clearing mobs at range, magic rain can delete entire packs and bosses with a well-timed hit, and magic blades are the most efficient for conserving energy. There's a lot of progression to unlock in-game, with collectable badges able to be invested into a talent tree, and then later a paragon board, to increase your character's various stats. An exhaustive list of...

There's clearly a lot of passion and interesting ideas here, but I cannot get past the fact that this is the worst controlling 3D platformer I have ever played. You are constantly fighting the camera and the player character always attacks the way the in game model is facing, not the way the camera is. Movement is awkward and finicky. Played on keyboard, unsure if playing on a controller resolves these issues. Will retry if there is some update addressing any of this.
