A fun off-the-wall game (Sort of Jazzpunk + Serious Sam if you need points of reference) that manages to be a decent sort of old-school FPS as well as a decently funny game. The gameplay isn't particularly deep, but the random weapon swap (a bar counts down to your swap once you start firing) keeps you experimenting and using guns that would normally be tossed aside for a standard machinegun/shotgun pairing. The Slide-kick is gratifying and becomes incredibly useful for some of the harder areas once you learn to use it right. The difficulty is kind of all over the place. Mostly a decent balance where keeping quick and aggressive works, though there were significant spikes and once particular perspective shift that makes a certain section much harder than it would otherwise be. Not every joke lands, but I suppose that's somewhat expected for a Mel Brooks style "Try everything you can think of and see what works" style of comedy. The throw away gags that NPCs in levels say and the goof...

Fun and funny stupid fun
tl;dr: it's fun and intuitive: get it. It's a really fun game which is well put together and exceeds what the graphics imply; The guns are fun, the forced-cycling is an interesting mechanic (and you can just shoot off between combats to get your favourite ready), the controls are intuitive, and the story is zany: which the graphics kind of add to? There's a part where you're in a car for very important reasons, and your enemies are in cars, and a gun of yours fires -redacted (they're very cute though)- and they're in their own cars: sublime, and the graphics genuinely contributed to that. highlights the attention to detail you get in this game (I think that's where the graphical detail all went). I'd recommend giving it a go yourself - a fun time-sink for an hour with good humour and reliable mechanics. Only recommendation would be the radius for in-level text to pop up to be widened so I'm not kissing NPC to get their fun one-liners. Otherwise worth every penny and I look forward to...
