Story

Emily is 20 years old and lives with her mom outside the city. One day, she found an old book in the attic that belonged to her grandma. As she turned the dusty pages, she discovered that the book was about spiritual phenomenal and other unexplained phenomena. The book described how to interact with, clean, and liberate unnatural beings. Her journey as a ghost hunter started right there.

Sarah is 20 years old, Emily's best friend, and she has always been fascinated by the unknown. After Emily found the old book in the attic, they both started to study it. It wasn't long after they decided to start a journey as ghost hunters. Sarah lost her father when she was twelve and hoped one day to make contact with him again.

This game did not disappoint! What can i say about this game???? Well, Does it pass the "Old skool Horror" Vibe check? YEP! Does it jump Scares? YEP! I found while playing this game in both Solo & Co-OP, Co-Op was much more fun. Co-Op takes the edge off and makes the objective much faster to accomplish, SOLO play is more for those who like a challenge or to punish themselves. I like the attention to detail the devs put into this game, along with the concept of reaching the task of cleansing the possessed object. I have watched a few people play this title, and love that there is not a single strat to accomplish the end goal. Each person has their own way that works for them and i like that! This game had me wanting to YEET my keyboard but then quickly plug it back in and try again ...... over and over! Furthermore, The Devs are 100% on it, extremely prompt with feedback, addressing bug issues and general support. Its not something you see very often these days anymore. So o...

Dear developers or developer. I have to state the fact that your product is too raw. Even for an early access version, this is a very bad game. Don't get me wrong, but the mechanics of interacting with the obsession are so intricate and complicated that I, as a player, cannot get any pleasure or fun from the gameplay. The game looks cool. Design and sound are top notch. But the gameplay itself and the mechanics in the game just don't work. It's kind of a nightmare.

Not liking that the new map is a paid dlc when the base game only has one map and very barebones gameplay. Wouldn't mind paid dlcs if the base game was more fleshed out and felt like a complete game. I bought this game expecting for more content to be added to the base game since it is in early access.

I only have a couple hours in this, and yes since it's early access there is room for improvement, but what I've played so far has been pretty good. Finding the objects for each step is methodical and there are red herrings that can trip you up, not to mention the ever looming chance of a ghost attack. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy this genre and I would love to see more people online.

I would recommend this game. Its different from other ones and enjoying playing it. It is more so geared towards 2 players and unfortunately for someone like myself who is a single player most games this is a slight downfall. When the ghost starts to hunt you there really isn't time to get out of the house. I seem to turn around and I am dead. It would make it easier if there was a run button, hiding spots or even a difficulty option would help. I have not been able to finish the map yet with out dying. Granted I have only been able to play a hand full of times but playing more still would not change my mind on this. I understand the game is in early stages still so I am excited to keep playing and see the changes that may come.

This game has this cool vibe. It has something creeping behind you all times. You turn around and happen to suddenly walk through a ghost. It obviously does not like you being there but at first just kind of observes you. Once you spend more time inside the house, you can feel you are in trouble. You hold the torch, you hold the EMF (or some other weird ghost hunting tool). It goes off. There is a hiss. You run. But you know, you are not somebody who gives up so easily. So you walk back there. Try to come up with a better strategy how to finish what you started. Nice game so far, much potential. I hope to see what the future holds for it.

This game feels like pre-alpha v0.0.1. You can't rebind keys, no graphics settings, in fact the only thing you can change is the sound volume. FOV is like 60, way to narrow. Sounds and graphics are not bad though.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but an achievement for 10,000 cursed items cleansed? C'mon man. There's just not enough incentive in the world for that in a two-player game with this little variation.

This review is while it's still very near the begging of it. Which is exciting as I get to personally see how the game grows into itself like the other great multiplayer ghost hunting games. It started very strong, although how to play i at first can be a bit confusing there is a tutorial and a book in the main game to help guide you along the away, so after like 2 tries me and my friend was able to understand fully how to play. The horror was very nice as it did scare me quite a few times and the atmosphere was very good. I'm very excited for the new map and how this game develops.

I can't say if the game is good or not because it has no inverted y axis. If you use reverse mouse or invert the y, you will have issues with this game. There are no way to set up your keybinds outside of their default settings. No offense to the development team, but this is just lazy. I use ESDF and while I deal with WASD on a somewhat regular basis with indie games... no inverted Y is an absolute "no go" for me. Do better.
