I'm giving this a thumbs up because I love the series and I'd like to see both the remaining games remastered and a new entry, but now that I've gone through it at least to the story final boss, I can say this is a much weaker game than the third and I would caution anyone against forming their opinions of the series as a whole or even the genre of DRPGs based on this game. skills mean nothing and every battle can party wipe you or do enough damage that you need to return to town and revive your party. extremely tedious
