i love the game. it is in early dev and i expected there to be issues my only complaint is optimization my problem is that the frame rates drop so early on even at minimum settings with my i9 11 gen and 4090. i will still recommend it but buyer beware

About This Game
Transform the alien landscape into a thriving industrial colony. Harvest resources, design intricate production lines, and optimize efficiency in a fully destructible world. Every factory, every pipeline, and every outpost you create adapts to your choices…and your challenges.
Yes, there will be conveyor belts. Lots and lots of conveyor belts.

Every decision shapes the future of your colony, testing your leadership in the harsh realities of a new frontier. And don’t forget to always provide enough food, shelter, and medicine in the meantime to accommodate the steady influx of new settlers. Can you balance the needs of your settlers with the needs of a growing factory?

Hostile environments demand resilience. Defend your colony against relentless environmental threats and mysterious alien forces while balancing the needs of your settlers. Strategic planning and adaptability are key to ensuring survival.

10/10 would recommend. Dev team is transparent in their roadmap and interactive with the community.
I played the free demo to the end and was eager enough to continue to buy the early access, but it feels like it somehow plays worse than the demo did. I've had this on my wishlist for probably two years and there's still almost nothing here and what's here isn't much fun. Really slow and doesn't feel like there's a point to anything you're doing. Even going off the rails and doing something interesting like building a little house for your units is mostly pointless - walls cost a lot of wood and are pretty much decorative since the workers clip right through them. Doesn't live up to my excitement for, what I thought for a long time, looked like it was going to be an even better Factorio.
This game has some serious performance issues. I'm dipping well below 100 FPS, to something around 70, and as you can see, I have barely started playing this, so there is almost nothing built yet. I'm getting CPU bottlenecked, but even if I didn't, GPU utilization is around 80-90%, so it would bottleneck before reaching 120 FPS anyway (my display refresh). Considering that the graphics are minecraft-like, and what hardware I have, I think that this is ridiculous. There are other issues, but I think that those are easier to solve than optimization, so a fair warning to anyone considering buying this game. Wait and see if they can improve this. CPU: 5800X3D GPU: RTX4090
As of today (August of 2025) my verdict is: has promise, wishlist it and buy it on sale or after it's been worked on for a bit. The premise is good, and the artstyle is neat. And I like the idea of factory builder games like Factorio, but with actual people you have to manage. There's not enough of those, if you ask me. I think part of the problem is managing those pops isn't actually that difficult. In the current state of the game, you just build a food dispenser, a few beds, a sink and a toilet, and everyone is happy. You don't even have to put them in a room or anything. This might change in later versions but currently it's a bit half baked. There's currently a few bugs and glitches that kinda mess with the game that they're working on, such as grass re-growing underneath floors and sticking out of them when you save and re-load a game. Sometimes your workers get stuck in random places and will starve unless you break whatever they're stuck on. But development is active, a...
I played for a bit honestly what sold me is the roadmap. The features planned for this thing is awesome. I do like the early access game and all. The idea of like colonists and factory building is interesting. Defense will be fun and the art style is pretty cool
Art Style is great but the pacing is really weird. It feels like this game doesn't really know if it wants to be an automation game, worker management, or survival game. In the time I've played I still have yet to figure out what the guns are for. My factory hasn't been attack presumably because I haven't failed to produce the trade requirement? It's really the barest definition of an automation game possible. If you've played other automation games you've tried to find ways to speed up the process through problem solving. Well very quickly you realize here that machines currently will input directly to a storage space but and can be very easily made to pull from a storage space. Well good news, all storage crates LINK TOGETHER so you can make a massive hub of them into a disgusting blob quite easily. The screenshots of good looking bases are completely irrelevant because not only is the production required so ridiculously small, a singular machine can take care of it all for you i...
I played this game for 2.4 hours. It crashed on me 6 times during that time. One crash was so bad I had to restart my computer. Save files were corrupted and caused crashes. I started 3 independent games and they all crashed. I get that it's new and they are still working on it but it is not ready as of Aug 25 for deployment. I don't mind paying up and coming software companies, especially in a labor of love like this. But it has to be, at minimum, playable.
I would like to say this HAS potential I'd say it does have me addicting but I feel there could be some improvements. The pressure to distribute out a part I had never seen has me all over the place trying to figure what machine makes what with that I hope there will be a search engine for parts and when I search the part it will tell me what machine makes those part. The Idea to hover over a machine/ parts is pretty cool. It shows me what machine makes what but, it can be difficult especially if we have time hacks to distribute out orders. with that I think maybe the transition to some of these parts could be little bit more smooth (but maybe that's me); I've read that you are working on having enemies, I am looking forward to that I hope in the future we have the ability to fabricate our own weapons other than turrets as well as maybe armor for our people that way I can start having dedicated people to focus on defenses and fighting etc... Also a sandbox mode would be nice test our ...
currently this games main thing going for it is the style and healthy way they mixed in elements from both games like rimworld and factorio. personally I have enjoyed it but at the moment its just some strong bones, I would very much like to see alot of improvements and things added. maybe I havent gotten far enough into it but I would like more decorations, building tables and stuff for my people. its got a great idea going for it and a very nice simple graphics style. I'd recommend getting it if your willing to support something that CAN be great, but there is more then a bit of work to do here.
