About This Game

Beneath The Deep is a single-player sci-fi horror game created by a small team of indie developers. After waking up from a coma, you find yourself displaced in a rundown government facility. This facility was built in the abyss of the ocean to secure itself from the outside world. The game puzzles you with missions of problem-solving and exploration with the added danger of merciless and brutal creatures. Surviving has always been a critical element of human nature but only a few can put up to the challenge that this game has to offer. Beneath The Deep takes inspiration from various other well-known titles in the horror and sci-fi genres.

EXPLORE THE DEPTHS

Embark on an exploratory journey within the expansive and exhilarating facility, replete with numerous tiers and unanticipated challenges.

PLAY STRATEGICALLY

Engage in the art of crafting practical tools and equipment that will aid you in your journey through each challenging level. Avail yourself of the technological devices that are scattered throughout the facility to identify and track any potential adversaries that may be lurking in the shadows. Your gameplay approach will ultimately determine whether you are duly rewarded or met with consequences.

CRAFT STRATEGICALLY

When venturing into treacherous and perilous territories within the game, it's highly advisable to utilize your crafting skills to their fullest potential by meticulously forging an extensive repertoire of indispensable items that are specifically designed to bolster your chances of survival and grant you a significant advantage amidst the most challenging and precarious situations that may arise. Remember, strategic preparation through the creation of a diverse array of essential tools can be the key to triumph in the face of adversity.

https://youtu.be/AgXB5kxuks0 https://rumble.com/v2xdsuu-beneath-the-deep-survival-horror-part-1.html The plot of this game is really good but I don't think the devs did everything they could to underline the fact that the story unfolds UNDERWATER. I wanted to see some weird fishes, deep sea creatures and Aquaman but there are NO windows in this whole facility... It might as well be a facility on the ground or in space because you can't see anything outside anyway. So I think that was a bit of a wasted opportunity . It probably would've looked cool because this game has nice graphics. The enemy's AI in this game is somewhat aggressive. There are instances where is almost impossible to lose the monster without using crafted items. I wish there would've been a clear explanation regarding the enemy's senses, because sometimes it can see me, sometimes it don't and most of the times it can hear me or the door I'm opening even if I'm far from it. I even play at the easiest (recommended) d...

This "classic" survival horror is very difficult, but rewards you efforts with a beautiful and thrilling atmosphere, which is, to be onest, MUCH better than what several modern "triple A" games have to offer. Everything is dark, gritty, greasy, "dirty", and above all hostile. I think this game succeeds in striking fear and anxiety in the heart of the player, who is forced to proceed with caution and ALWAYS watch their back. I enormously appreciated the inclusion of both multiple creatures, AND multiple different challenges characterized by different mechanics and obstacles. There are still bugs here and there (most of which can be fixed by simply reloading the checkpoint), but the devs already showed a remarkable commitment to the improvement of their creation. Several sections have been already polished and made much less frustrating, so I can proudly say that once again I proved to have a sharp eye for passionate and talented indie producers! Very good game, certainly recommended if ...

Spent a good ~4hrs on this game, though real gameplay is ~1.5hrs, that explains how many times i died. The graphics is good, the sound effects are on point. Game runs perfectly and the devs got patches within the first week following any feedback given, so thumbs up to the devs. I really enjoy the atmosphere, the tension building up. What could have been better was some tutorials or guides on the tools available on hand. I survived better when i realised i have a radar of some sort only via checking up the controls in settings, and was otherwise depending on the sounds of vents to determine a safe opportunity to move. Great experience overall, thanks Arcodian Games! For a glimpse of no commentary full longplay walkthrough: https://youtu.be/PoFpSD-zI5c

I wanted to like this game but the enemies are way too annoying. They hear you from a mile away even when you're crouching or hiding and you have to restart the level all over again. The game objects are glitched out too like chairs and doors getting stuck and making sound that attracts the enemy. There isn't much of a story except the same old - "hidden research lab goes wrong!". The terrible AI with the enemies ruin this game.

Definitely in the vein of Alien Isolation. Not a bad title from a small team. My only gripe would be the final underwater battle that could have used more save points and the cranking of the wheels seemed to be off for me.

First, let's get the bad out of the way. The game itself is quite buggy with the AI not responding now and then, the doors are also a big problem and messy to use. Some of the levels seem a bit out of place for example the underwater fever dream doesn't really fit with the story and can be done without. I would remove the puzzle from the beginning because it is stupid and makes no sense. With that being said the game itself is decent and I enjoyed the crafting even though you can play without it. The game tries to change the feeling of gameplay at each new level and I respect that. Overall I would give it a mixed review but because of Steam's way of giving reviews, I would rate it positive.

This game is very good and I enjoyed it quite a lot, the atmosphere was great and had an eerie feeling, the music was very well done as it added a lot to the atmosphere, the game play was enjoyable and easy to understand. I liked the crafted items but feel like there could've been more use for other items since the primary item was the noise maker but still a very fun mechanic. Overall a very nice game especially for how many people were involved in the making of the game and it was great to see how quickly the developer fixed any bugs that was seen. Great game and I highly recommend it.
