Amazing Duke Nukem 3D parody with a lot of hilarious cutscenes, easter eggs, references and jokes. Weapon impact is good, gore is top notch and movement is very smooth. Also you can drive vehicles in this game. Can't wait for the full release!

Being deeply fond of Duke Nukem and Jon St. John's voice, I simply couldn't ignore this title. Brutal John 2 is a heartfelt, detailed, and affectionate tribute to Duke Nukem — with clear nods to the character in several moments. Beyond that, the level design is well-crafted, flows smoothly, and is an absolute joy to play… just like the gameplay itself! I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Many thanks to the developers — you've just gained a loyal player! 😎
In the end, a pretty boring game, repeating things heard and seen in old games, without creating anything new itself.
Unfathomably boring. You'd have more fun chewing on your work socks.
This is the most "made by people who learned English as a second language through Duke Nukem shitposts" coded game I've ever played. And that's a good thing.
It's like Duke Nukem 3D crossed with Serious Sam (and maybe a tad of DNF 2001, but idk how much of a stretch that is), and it is glorious. Solid smooth gameplay with a charming artstyle and a hilariously over-the-top storyline that's loaded with references to other classic games. Croteam and Gearbox should be taking notes. Then again, with the way Take-Two and Randy can be... sometimes, dead is better...
If I'm being Brutally Johnest with you, this game is a hell of a lot of fun. So much fun that I played the entire thing straight until I beat it and got 100% achievements. Brutal John shouts its influence from its loud burly chest and honestly that's awesome. It's a game made by fans of Duke and you can feel and hear that throughout it. The guns are punchy and feel great, the levels are interesting and god, 3 train levels in 10 levels? These folks are unstoppable. The moment to moment gameplay feels a little more like Serious Sam than Duke but that's a good thing. You find yourself fighting hordes of enemies that spawn in at you some from destroyable spawners, some not. I think one of the coolest little touches is every level with an Arcade has a playable game that unlocks a secret. And all those games are well done too. Can't say I ran into too many bugs throughout my two playthroughs. I think the most devisive thing is going to be the dialogue and I think that's probably a lov...
Where do I even begin with this masterpiece? brutal, impactful combat, Extremely interactive, cool mini-games, great physics and breakable objects like Painkiller. Funny AF at the level of Serious Sam, Shadow Warrior or, of course, Duke Nukem.
Really fun FPS that pokes fun at both Duke Nukem and Serious Sam, 2 franchises I hold dear to my heart! This game is both hilarious and an excellent love letter to a few classic games. Just really fun to play with polished mechanics and some really fun arcade mini-games thrown into the mix. It's still early access so you aren't getting the full game, but what is here is very fun and I look forward to more updates!
