About This Game

You don't know a single word in the language of this world.
Deduce the meanings of words the person before you uses to communicate with you.
Then try to understand them like a puzzle, one piece at a time.
You are free to perceive the meaning of the words you read.

The relationship between the two characters is built on the words you interpret.
And their story is also built on the words you interpret.

Their world changes according to your understanding.
Maybe their story is a short, ordinary story, or maybe it's a long, peculiar story.
Or both stories could exist at the same time. There's nothing wrong with that.

The story is only complete with your interpretation.
So certainly, every story your interpretation results in is correct.
Even if you don't understand the story at first, you have the opportunity to repeat it over and over again.

This is a short and long story, of only seven days.

Great concept, has some flaws and definitely could've been executed better but a great game regardless. I started playing because of the premise of understanding a story in a language you don't know sounded interesting but after my first play-through I sticked with it just for the story and other endings. The story itself might not be everyone's cup of tea but it was enough to move me emotionally (i cried). Definitely recommended

After playing through this game, I have to say I enjoy it, but as other reviews have said, it is flawed. A significant amount of words can be deciphered based on context alone, from clicking on various objects and doing chores.
For example, one of the first things I figured out was the numbers 1-7 based on the calendar in the bedroom, and colors quickly followed from the books on the shelf
This made the beginning one of the more satisfying parts of the game and gave me motivation to find more words. But some of the words there just isn't enough context, which means that unlike real-life language acquisition,
you have to decrypt using a caesar cypher. I was able to figure this out by looking for common letters between the various words I knew to be accurate, such as "three" and "eight," and then I went through some of the other words and was able to figure it out for the entire alphabet. Then I numbered the letters and started shifting them one at a time. ...

A short VN wrapped in unique puzzle where you extract the story from the context of the things around you. Grammatically, it was a lot less involved than I was expecting, which was nice when it came to understanding the core story of the game, but also a bit of a detriment when trying to understand the truth behind the story. I felt a bit ashamed referring to a guide to make it all the way to the "True" ending, as there are multiple endings (which differ slightly, but give majorly different conclusions), but I felt satisfied enough with the progress I made on the story itself that it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game. The reason I feel this way about the ending(s): SLIGHT SPOILERS
When it comes down to getting the endings, it can end up being more of a matter of process of elimination. Even if you understand what you're supposed to do, the words you expect to work may not.
It makes for a very interesting experience that you sort of create on your ow...

A beautiful little game, I found the gameplay of trying to learn the language really captivating, and it makes for a super unique method of revealing the underlying story to the player. My only gripe is that I wish there was more of it, I think the concept could work beautifully extended out with more content (which I also think could lead to more natural learning of some of the words that are just really hard to determine from the game dialog itself) I found the plot to be quite moving, with a surprising amount of depth being able to be conveyed through the simple dialog, and a beautiful ending that drew me to tears.

Great game! Surprisingly engaging and mind-bending for a game so light and quick.

While the gameplay and puzzle is a bit tough (sometimes instead of deduction I went through pure decryption), the story is both interesting and well told, as well as quite emotional. Some passages don't make much sense to me ? I assume it's the Japanese to English to Fake language that lost some meaning...

Awesome idea, but poorly executed. Very quickly, you realize that you can't find the meanings of more than half the words based on context, and have to resort to
manually solving every individual word with an enigma machine
. And that's when words aren't misspelled.
