About the Game

Three mighty powers have long waged war on the great continent of Norzelia.

This land bears a long and scarred history that includes the Saltiron War, a war that erupted over control of salt and iron resources. A balance of power has been achieved between the Holy State of Hyzante, which controls the salt, the Grand Dutchy of Aesfrost, a land of iron clad in frost and snow, and the forested Kingdom of Glenbook, which lies nestled between the other two powers.

However, a certain incident shakes the balance between these three powers, which then begins to crumble away...

The player's sense of justice will be tested in the face of convictions.

Various actions and choices within the game will build up to form your conviction, based on three sets of values - Utility, Morality, and Liberty.
This will affect your path through the story and which allied units will join your cause.

Voting

Important decisions that will decide the fate of the protagonist and his allies will be determined through a vote using the Scales of Conviction.
For the player to assert their own opinion, they must convince their allies. Choices with a profound impact on the destinies of the group will likewise have a major impact on the story.

Highly strategic battles

It will be crucial to use the terrain and differences in elevation to position yourself advantageously.
Enjoy satisfying and challenging battles and strategy with great depth: with the ability to select from characters with uniquely different traits in your party formation, and gameplay systems that allow flanking the enemy to perform follow-up attacks or using your allies' abilities to coordinate attacks.

Converse with and strengthen your allies in the Encampment

In the Encampment, you can speak with allied characters and purchase goods from shops. You can also strengthen your characters and weapons at the Sundry Shop and the Smithy.
Additionally, once you've strengthened your characters, you can put their strength to the test at the Tavern by taking part in Mental Mock Battles.
These battles range from standard combat to those with somewhat unique victory conditions, allowing you to enjoy Triangle Strategy's combat on an even deeper level.

Let's face it, you're looking for a new Fire Emblem/Tactics style game. I'll cut to the chase: the gameplay is good and fun, the story is basic, and the voice acting is startlingly bad but you'll grow to drown it out. I've beaten all endings and played all paths, they're terrible to ok at best. Any further time played after this review is just for achievements.

While the core gameplay is great; with the magic system affecting the terrain of the battle map you're in and the unique set of skills tailored to each character; the surrounding elements of this game leave much to be desired as an HD-2D tactics game. The English translation is walking on a thin line between medieval speech and modern when it came to its story, and the voice acting performance following it leaves much to be desired. The Japanese dub may have been well performed -I'm not proficient speaking the language- but the very nature of it clashes with the world setting that leaves me wanting this game to placed in a medieval Japanese setting if I were to select this dub. The progression of the game -that is, how the story presents itself- feels so slow at the beginning that you would be forgiven for not getting past the first 4 chapters. The hook to the story comes as slow as a snail, biding time that casual players might not have the time to spend. If the game were to st...

In terms of it's story, the game has a lot of interesting concepts and a mature tone which I like but it ultimately fails when it comes to execution. The characters are also unfortunately quite generic and there isn't as much of a focus on the relationships between them compared to other games. English VO is inconsistent: good for some characters and terrible for others. Gameplay was by far the best part, although quite easy compared to other games in the genre, at least on the first full playthrough. Music was good. Graphics: excellent. Not a bad game, but far too many faults to recommend.

amazing combat but bland and cringe dialogue ruined the political plot for me, and all the characters are the average jrpgs tropes nothing new here

Nice tactical RPG. The story branching has a great overall feel to it where you know the choices are affecting the events that happen. Will definitely be replaying this once I finish. The game is A LOT of story, so if you are not into being sucked into this world I would recommend not buying this game. However, the story is very good and worth all of the story telling that goes on in the game.

its better than i figured. Like actually good. Its saves a lot of fluff. A surprisingly low amount of required battles, only like one per chapter. The rest, for grinding etc is optional. Game is build around multiple playthroughs. First one is a heavy story focus. on subsequent run, you can skip more and more. So while the first playthrough might take as long as usual, you can get the benefits of the second one for much less time investment. Story is great too. really engaging. The voting system is not giving you any indication what conviction your choices affect the first time around. so only on subsequent playthroughs can you properly target certain outcomes. But choices do matter a lot. Combat is great, leavls feel a bit too arbitrary. Thankfully there is no constant level scaling. It scales once in ng+ and a second time in ng++ to max level. This works well for the most part, but due to how this game works you will hardly ever be under or overleveled. its a very control...

If you like reading a wall of bland dialogue, then you'll probably like this game.

I thought this would be a final fantasy tactics and octopath traveler mix made in heaven. It looks like it, but certainly doesnt feel like it. I dont like the story which seems to have 3 nations in conflict over nothing really. I dont like the boring MC and i actively dislike his girlfriend who is being discriminated against for.... having gorgeous pink hair? Come on. There is also no fluidity to the gameplay. Everything feels half baked and clunky. Every mechanic, every attack, every animation, every menu. Its all clunky. I tried a lot but i feel myself getting drowsy every time i run this game.
