About the Game
Experience the universe of the Alien films like never before: in terrifyingly immersive single-player VR. An all-new action-horror entry into the classic franchise, Alien: Rogue Incursion transforms you into Zula Hendricks–the ex-Colonial Marine hellbent on exposing Weyland-Yutani’s black-site experiments–on an extremely dangerous mission to the uncharted planet Purdan. With her synth companion Davis 01 for guidance, Zula must infiltrate the infested Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility and survive the ever-present threat of the most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered, with both skilled stealth and serious firepower at her disposal. And when the threat she discovers has extinction-level consequences, Zula suddenly finds herself with humanity’s fate on her shoulders.
PART ONE OF A TWO-PART STORY
Zula's Fight Begins Here: Part One of this gripping two-part story thrusts you into the violent world of ALIEN, where you will uncover the secrets lurking within the GES facility on LV-354, the enigmatic planet Purdan. This installment stands alone as a complete story yet leaves you hanging on a thrilling cliffhanger, eager to dive deeper into Zula's unfolding story in Part Two, where she will face new challenges and deadlier enemies.

Very promising but ultimately a disappointing game. There are plenty of bugs occurring randomly with this game even with my i9 gtx4070 setup. The game crashes randomly and it does not offer easy savegame...need to find a panic room before the crash. I have owned this game since months and rarely gets attracted to it...I barely played 8hrs so far because the bugs are unpleasant enough to deter me from coming back to it.
Over-hyped. No where near as good or engaging as the reviews would have you believe. Just kinda meh. Isolation remains king.
An incredible VR experience I have only a couple gripes with. For one, performance. The way the devs suggest you play with a Quest headset (at least, the Quest 2 I have) is through Air Link, rather than Steam Link. However, Steam Link is so much more stable in both performance and reliability that I'm not sure WHY they put a warning up for you to switch when you boot up the game. The only other gripe I have is with the shotgun. Dear LORD the shotgun is such a downgrade from both the Pulse Rifle and (SOMEHOW) the revolver, that the choice to
have a section where you have to fight off HALF A DOZEN XENOS with it and the revolver ALONE
is such a baffling choice that I have to ask what the devs were smoking when they created it. Somehow, the shotgun manages to be EXACTLY as powerful as the revolver, while being twice as finicky to use, and thrice as much so to reload. If the hitbox for your shotgun shells is THAT SMALL, do NOT force your players to load them ONE AT A ...
Alien Rogue Incursion nails the Alien atmosphere and sound design, but performance is terrible. System Specs (Laptop): 4090 16GB VRAM i9-13980HX 64GB RAM Meta Quest 3 (Native resolution) Despite having a pretty solid machine that runs anything else I throw at it without issue, this game absolutely crawls along in the lowest settings. It's the worst of both worlds, crappy settings and low FPS. A Huge shame, as this could have been great, but this isn't the first time Survious have released an un-optimized steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥. Walking dead onslaught was the same! Don't waste your money. Or, controversially, buy the Quest 3 version instead. They somehow got it to run on a snapdragon processor better than a best in class mobile chipset from last gen.
Awesome game. took me 12 hours to beat it cause they make it so that you feel lost with the X's right behind you in places that you've gone through before. master use of the map and hallways and corridors. Great story, great action, the guns feel great, the old school 80's like tech and computers are fun to. cant wait for the next episode to come out for it, so I can jump back in and kill some more Aliens.
I really loved the game. It has that ALIEN vibe—creepy and spooky. The guns are fun to use and satisfying to shoot. There’s no difficulty setting—you play it like an old-school survival game with specific save points. It’s a bit hardcore, but I love it. The sound design is very good. I think some ambient sounds are from Alien: Isolation, which makes it feel like the same universe. Attention to level design is pretty good as well—not perfect, but not plain. The only things that felt a bit goofy were your character’s body positioning and the map system. But all in all, I can’t wait for Chapter Two! ^^
the game originaly froze the first time I met an Alien Close up! (Crystal OG) Error was caused by playing in dx11 and having quad views activated. By turning of quad views and reverting to dx12, the game became playable but not at native resolution ( I have an RTX3080, I7 10th gen.) But with the latest Pimax play this game is playing very smooth using eye tracking and set to performance and native resolution. great graphics and atmosphere. controllers working great. I am realy loving this game and hope they will still do the part 2 for VR as I have read all the problem reviews, and perhaps it was Peoples hardware. Still I thoughly recomend it......
A game-breaking bug teleported a key item into the ceiling when I saved, and no amount of reloading would resolve it. Unfortunately, this happened towards the end of my first playthrough, effectively doubling the time to complete. Only when I surpassed that spot did I realize the story just ends unceremoniously on a cliffhanger. The bug may never be fixed. This is a competent title that gets overshadowed by a VR hack for Alien Isolation in every way. However, you can blast some xenomorphs with a pistol, rifle, shotgun, and proxy grenades in this one, and that's pretty cathartic. I like that the equipment placement around your body requires clever two-handed motions, especially when reloading. It gets intense. I DON'T like the large amount of performance issues and the fact my limbs get in the way of several common actions like overturning cardboard boxes and crouching to pick something up. The map is also pretty shite about showing you where to specifically go, as a continuous stream...
It's great. However, not really playable in Steam VR. Remote desktop with a quest 3 works as intended.
