ACTUALLY FUN

The kind of game that requires the right amount of brain power to play. 8/10

Excellent and engaging Tower Defence game. It has a perfect learning curve and you can experiment a lot and try different tactics out. The DLC adds long term challenge. You get more than the first campaign as standard and the follow up give unrelenting challenges. It is a bit old now but still stands up as a solid and endearing TD game. Much better than its sequel although that is a decent enough game with a steeper learning curve. If you like TD's then this is gold.

After all these years, this game still holds up. If you're a Portal/Gladdos fan, make sure to buy the You Monster DLC. Worth every penny.

I don't know why I didn't write review of one of the best and most perfect games in universe. Maybe because it's "only" tower defense. i say perfect game, because developers of this gem managed to achieve almost perfect balance and infinite play ability. Every time I open some map, I achieve different score. Place tower minute later and score is different. On one map Conclusion is must, but on next map mistake. Game looks pretty good, it has character and atmosphere. Servers are still running, and leaderboards are active (I mean sadly except few hundred first places with completely unreliable scores, either these are early hackers or testers). Lastly I spent like five games improving my score in sidegame "frozen core" from 5000+ position to solid 500. In I think third playtrough I entered first thousand on leaderboard. So I play this game 10+ years -- and it's still as good as first time. There are no many games like this.
