THE GAMEPLAY
Set entirely within a claustrophobic one-man submarine nicknamed the "Iron Lung," you must blindly navigate an ocean of blood to take photographs of key locations, and hope whatever lives below doesn't find you. There is only a single porthole on the sub, and it needs to be closed due to depth pressure, so you have to navigate purely via an incomplete map, proximity sensors, sound, and a primitive external camera which can be used to take the pictures you need to complete your mission, or to get a grainy low resolution visual of what's happening outside.
Success will require resourcefulness and patience.

THE STORY
Decades ago, every known star and habitable planet mysteriously vanished, along with whatever and whoever happened to be on them, leaving behind an empty universe of asteroids and lifeless moons where the only remnants of humanity are those who were on space stations or starships at the time. With supplies gradually dwindling and infrastructure falling into disrepair, the survivors have spent the subsequent years frantically searching for any trace of remaining natural resources. Up until now they have been unsuccessful...Then, a mysterious anomaly known as a Blood Ocean (which is exactly what it sounds like) was discovered on an otherwise barren moon. It's not the first Blood Ocean found since the vanishing, but initial scans show a collection of potentially useful anomalous locations in a deep undersea (underblood?) trench that require further investigation.
And you're the unlucky sap who gets to investigate, in an aging submarine cobbled together from rusty space station parts.
Find your way to the marked locations, photograph whatever you find there, and try to finish before the sub collapses around you... or you're discovered by whatever lurks in the blood...

User Reviews
The idea of having to carefully traverse an ocean without sight is a neat concept, and the idea of stripping the player of their senses could definitely work - too bad it doesn't work in this game. Absolutely nothing happens in this game, the gameplay is incredibly boring, and the atmosphere is obviously meant to do all the heavy lifting, except it doesn't. At least the lore seems interesting.
Wait for a sale, it took me less than 3 hours to complete everything this game has to offer and get the 100% It's a really unique angle at horror and I enjoyed it, just wouldn't spent 8 dollars on it.
Not my cup of tea.
I wanted fish, no fish just an hour of putting coords in a coordinate plane and holding mouse button. Worst $5 every spent on a game. I would rather spend it on a horible skin in valorant or literaly anything else. Wierd take on horror and litlerly 0 interesting gameplay other than the loud noise when you crash. please dont buy this.
Very strange little game. Id give it 6 out of 10, quite enjoyable. Seems impossible at first, but you very quickly get your bearings and learn to pilot the sub
9/10 An incredibly memorable experience. 'Iron Lung' is David's magnum opus. This is one of the most unique, unsettling, terrifying, and enjoyable games I have ever played. The feeling of oppression this game invokes is unquestionable in its solidity, there is no escaping the iron chains. This is an execution, there is no question about that. One of the most bleak and oppressive worlds I have ever seen. And I wouldn't have it any other way. If you're claustrophobic, good luck, because you'll need it. This game builds tension incredibly well, and keeps it past the point of no return. A unique type of grim. Absolutely a game worth picking up.
Nice game
just in case someone might just be scrolling through reviews before getting it, all i'm gonna say is that this game is absolutely horrifying, you should 100% get it
