The game has the framework of Ratchet and Clank for its gameplay, and Borderlands as the skeleton for story. Then, it had a bit of a drug trip with gameplay, gimmicks, and writing and ended up falling apart in my book. It made me laugh, but not because of how silly the game is, but by how rediculous things were getting. At the end of the day, it was feeling like the game had an ADHD development cycle with some of the most random things added in. My biggest hurdles were no defensive options given, making gauntlet encounters being much more difficult, especially with how accurate the enemies can be, the checkpointing in some segments just not existing for some levels, and the lighting in some areas that made it hard to tell where it was safe to go without trusting n blind luck a good number of times.

Immediately, I don't like this game very much. Maybe it's because I'm playing with controller and it's meant to be a keyboard game, I was playing it as a ratchet and clank game. But things stand out to me. Levels are incredibly straight forward, and while there's plenty of geometry to explore, there's no encouragement to explore. The tutorial stuff is TOO hidden. Yellow on an already yellow area, I had no idea you could parry shots wihich is also not that great. It feels like the parry window is too small and you just get hurt anyways. That evil beeping noise? oh thats the item locator. I'm in the second location and there's a beeping sound. Go to the achievement hunter video because I spend 5 minutes scouring the area and it's not IN that area, it's somehow somewhere else. Only four weapons. I guess that's balanced, but I love stupid ass ratchet and clank weapons. I'll try it with keyboard soon, then maybe I'll change this, but it definitely does not feel like a tightened up game.

Because there isn't neutral review score, I'm gonna leave a positive one, but this is hard sell in my opinion. Yes, the game is heavily inspired by "duo character games" and tries very hard to lean towards them. Unfortunately it misses the mark most times. My almost 10 hours that it took to complete this game on normal difficulty felt like a drag after 5 hour mark. Which is a shame, I really liked the previous game, Pumpkin Jack. This game feels a bit aimless: lots of minigames, lots of worlds, couple weapons, but all hollow. It gets the job done, but I can only recommend this game when it's on sale.

Ratchet and Clank style game with surprisingly funny dialogue and enough varied gameplay to keep you engaged the whole time.

This game has plenty of charm, a clear love for the ratchet & Clank games, and all the PS2 Era platformer goodness anyone could want. There's no upgrades for the weapons like R&C is famous for, that's fine its an indie game its still fun. The first like 7 levels are the same thing in different colors, its not too bad core is still good. Writing is so-so i don't hate it, not looking to mute the conversations. But then there's suddenly a car mission. My god, the vehicles are easily some of the worst feeling and designed game mechanic I've had to endure since i was a kid playing superman on the 64. Genuinely - calling it dogshit doesn't do it justice. Did a pair of vehicle missions and i was like yeah this is typical most games like these have a awful little part of the game like this is whatever. But it didn't end after one, or two, or three of fucking like 8 i swear between the horrible car, the space ship and the fucking tank 1/2 the game is filler garbage in vehicles and they a...

A tipe of game that doesn't really exist anymore, could use more weapons and upgrades and the flying/driving sections are a bit too long but overall an extremely fun game, movement and combat are very satisfying especially on the hardest difficulty.

It's an adventure with frequent wall-running, fast-paced jumping and dodging lasers, shooting enemies and avoiding kittens hugs (yeah, it's a thing here!). You will travel islands. Tropical, volcanic (because we all love lava, right?), even frozen caves and acidic maze! Standard set. You will fly in the Space!
