I'm changing this review to recommend. With the recent updates I think this game has improved quite a bit. The ability to restart each section without replaying the game over each time is a great addition and will still allow a challenge to reach the good ending of the game. I also think that it's worth buying just to support the developers who have shown that they are willing to listen to feedback and improve upon their game.

The Inspiration Behind The Game
Chester is based off of our simple childhood fears.
What if something is lurking in the dark? What if we lose our favorite plush toy?
What if we are alone? What if... there is an intruder?
Much of this game is pulled directly from the childhood nightmares and fears that we all shared.

User Reviews
I really liked the game tbh. I thought it was pretty scary and it was actually fun. Good stuff
This took me so long to complete but it is a good horror game if you want to challenge yourself and get scared when you fail Check out my gameplay on this game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8a-llGTcUo&t=7s
Scary game. It burns your CPU if you don't finish it quick enough.
To keep this fair and short, Chester is a simple, but somewhat unique twist on a stealth horror game. It's a short game and does not explain much, but it's not hard to figure out. This makes it challenging, yet not rage quit the game. There are a couple of drawbacks to the game, primarily the extreme darkness with an inability to lighten it any. Depending on your monitor, you may not be able to see anything, which makes the final puzzles nearly impossible. After a while, the jumps are gets old and you start to get frustrated. Overall, the mechanics are well made, it's slightly original, short, good for a few scares and decent at the price. If you're not looking for an indepth story, that has some challeng, a few good scares and kill am hour or two, I'd recommend this game. It's definitely a lot of fun and there are multiple endings. I haven't had a chance to get the other one, but basically, it does leave you wanting to get both endings since it is fairly short. If you wish ...
