Dev, I dont know if you can hear this. But this is my favorite game of 2025. It's a beautiful creation. It's absurd. it' funny. It's insane. It feel's like Catch-22 is firmly holding hands with Apocalypse now. I am firmly dedicated to the prospect of making content for this game, for I must share its madness with others. I feel you've made something good here. Please keep doing it.

About This Game
Lead your troops to victory in a huge open world set in the Vietnam War.
Play as U.S. or Vietcong / N.V.A. on an ever changing battlefield where other units move and fight independently of player.
Command your squad to follow, stay, attack and change formations etc.

Missions of various types are provided based on the situation in the area. However, there is no story or main mission progression.
Use radios to request airstrikes, artillery support, reinforcements and supplies.

Patrol the Mekong delta and lush river valleys. Search and destroy the enemies in dense jungles and defend the hilltop fire bases. Protect loyal villages from enemy infiltration or teach them the price of betrayal.
Build perimeter defenses. Eat, drink and smoke to calm the nerves, or pop pills to feel energized.
Keep an eye out for booby traps, tigers, snakes and critters as you root out tunnels and hidden fortifications in the jungles. Avoid capture or become a P.O.W.

Bomb the Ho Chi Minh Trail or lead special forces across the border into Laos and Cambodia to disrupt enemy supplies.
The game features one huge 1000+ km2 map that covers North and South Vietnam, and large parts of Laos and Cambodia with hundreds of manually built bases and villages.

Fly jets or gunships, or man the door guns. Pound the enemy using tanks and artillery and a vast arsenal of weapons.

At first, I thought this was just another funny meme slop game, but as you play the game, you quickly find out there is a lot of depth hidden within. However, it is VERY jank. Message to the Dev, The game badly needs a tutorial explaining what everything is and how it works. Adding immersive systems is unique, which adds charm to the game. However, feature creep is setting in on the project. You should stop adding systems, weapons and features within the game and focus on what is already in place for a few patches. The core game is starting to suffer from all the extra stuff you are adding that adds nothing to the main gameplay loop.
Game has decent mechanics, but when it comes to performance its terrible I was playing at very high graphics for a while but it just keeps hard freezing for 4-5 seconds at a time every 5-10 minutes, I turned down how many AI spawn by 50% and set the graphics to "normal" but same issue. CPU: 7800x3D GPU: Radeon RX 7900XT RAM: 32GB DDR5 I'd give this game a neutral review but thats not an option and since I can't even enjoy this game for more than 30 minutes before getting frustrated at how poorely it runs no positive review.
I can't quite describe it, it's a unique experience of it's own. Imagine unholy ugly child that was a result of orgy between Ravenfield, A3 Antistasi, Squad and Daggerfall/Kenshi in Vietnam setting. Yea, that's the only way i can describe it. It's absolutely a piece of hideous buggy mess held up by duct tape and prayers, but there's literally nothing like it in the whole game industry and I can't get enough of it. It all feels really natural and systemic, even if it's completely insane, cuz jank feels like a part of the experience. This is my GOTY no joke. Well done, devs, well done.
I started off doing a bad thing and borrowing this game because I was skeptical from a review I read. I was immediately addicted and bought the game and if you're unsure and reading this - BUY THIS GAME - The creator is heavily invested in this game and it's absolute FUN as well as being very in depth. After a tour you can go home at will and then just like go back to 'Nam when you want and set more people on fire on the ho chi mihn trail. The map is MASSIVE and gameplay is super fun and super open world! Buy the game.
This is a hidden gem, the type of game I dreamed about as a kid. Persistent war simulator with base building and no sweaty pvp. This is the type of game you could play for a very very long time if you wanted to.
> Spawn in VC base > Wtf am I supposed to do lmao > Charge nearby US base with squad. > Half of squad wiped out, rip > Cleanse base of GI filth with pistol > Fortunate Sun blasts as, i kid you not, 8 helicopters land directly on us. > Somehow manage to survive by hiding in hole > Poke head out just in time to see GI Jets drop napalm on the position > Me and GI burn so good. > Eardrums rupture as game crashes and the machine spirit inside my headphones vents all of its frustration 9.5/10 game, fix some of the movement bugs and add a better tutorial and its perfect
Everything is bugged and the dev haven't addressed our concerns at all. Been silent. If you go to the forum, you will threads with the list of bugs. The game is broken and seem like the Dev main focused was implementing as many features as possible without focusing on optimizing and bug fixes. I cannot recommend this game in it's current state. $15 is too much for a game that barely works. I have a feeling that its a quick money grab scheme. AI can see through everything, AI pathfinding is horrible, and both factions barely engages each other. They will act like they don't see each other. They also most of the time will be shot at but wont return fire. Hold off until the Dev address these game riddled bugs.
An incredibly ambitious project I will keep an eye on, but the basics need a lot of polish. Im impressed with the amount of mechanics here, but sadly each of them feels half baked. What needs to be fixed: - Movement. The character movement is REALLY bad. Like default unity character controller bad. You slide and clip on everything, you feel like DoomGuy running at 30 mph and you slide like you're on ice. You outpace squad members, you have to jump to enter buildings, and it will by far be the thing that you "do" the most in the game. Lots of walking. It NEEDS another pass. - AI. Your squad is useless. Your squadmates do nothing, they will watch enemies run directly at you. You have little to no control over them (that the game actually teaches you). It's a core part of the experience, and right now it's bad. - Player Experience. The game does little to nothing to teach you how to play it. Your basic tutorial "player manual" is a hidden unlock you're supposed to just......
I have never experienced a war game where you got to go home after. Where you have a wanted meter, can buy a house and even had demonstrations against the war. This is not fully implemented yet i think but the potential to show what happened to the soldiers after they came home with the PTSD and injuries is an amazing thing.
