Overall: 7 / 10 ============================================================================================= I'll start by saying I haven't played a soul's ish game, closest I've done is star wars Jedi survivor / fallen order, yet I had a really fun time with this. It kept me hooked throughout the whole thing and I enjoyed fighting most of the enemies. I liked the movement, the primary companion and the mix of linearity and open worldneess that is available. I am a person though who does not really like open world so I prefer more liner stuff, the maps do feel really large though. =============================================================================================== THE GOOD: - Very gripping premise (main goal of the play through and the world it inhabits) - I like the costume customisation - The fights on the most part look very fluid and mesh quite well - Easy to understand mechanics, dificult ish to master - Major bosses were fun (mostly) to fight against - Hum...

generally uresponsive, bad VA, bad exploration and levels, bad movement, bad audio, bad ai, too many mechanics for what it is. I had a shielded enemy that you have to parry to deal damage to simply stand in a doorway and not attack me. I had to walk out of their range and back in for them to try and attack me so i could kill them and get through the door
Literally just finished the game. Man what a ride! I held off for a while since the reviews didn't look so hot but I wish I got it earlier. It's a good over-the-shoulder RPG like GoW. Just like GoW, it is semi open world. It provides good motivation to explore -- the rewards are quite worth it. The story is quite good. The combat takes a wee bit of time to click but once it does it gets very very satisfying. This is one of those games where you feel quite weak and helpless at the beginning but become almost unkillable by the end, especially once you get a reliable way to heal and a perk from your skill tree that gives you two lives. Good variety of enemy types, and the bosses are quite satisfying to dance with -- no stupid gimmicks that just stun lock you to death (well... maybe the last boss was a wee bit annoying but nowhere near Lies of P)! The game ran smooth on my RTX 4080, no bugs or crashes. Now for some cons: It really needs more weapons and armour options. And its also quite ...
I really enjoyed the game. The combat was good, plot awesome and it gave me some challenges. At the end of the game, I was so OP it was less challenging but still I recommend this game. ~20h of quite good fun., + I bought it for ~6 EUR
I've never been this frustrated by an unresponsive soulslike. I like the genre a lot, but this is dang close to approaching the crap that was the original Lords of the Fallen, previously my worst high-profile soulslike. The writing is just painful.
I'm pretty picky with the games, I even play older games made in 2000's - 2010's. Today's game industries can't satisfy me much but Flintlock could. Probably the game that felt satisfying to finish. It wasn't hard but it wasn't easy either in some cases. Totally balanced. Nowadays it's rare to see the game pretty well optimized. Story was not the best, but getting other mythologies is the way to get something new in today's market. The game is Like God Of War - Dark Souls type of game to me. That's why I felt for this game. The protagonist is a woman and I was wondering that the games have small amount of women protagonist and was thinking, nice! That's also something newer and unusual sort of speaking. Companion was nice to have and really liked it, made game special and you didn't felt lonely like in dark souls and honestly the dialogue between them was pretty solid and in some parts I was laughing. At first I was skeptic to this game, maybe because due to it's marketing, but when I ...
Cool Game.
The final boss of the game is the battle camera. I don't like it when the final boss of the game is the battle camera. I liked the gameplay (especially the parry play). I liked the iteration of Souls-esque controls with integrated fox support. The story is serviceable enough to give me a reason to swing my axe. Nor delivers her lines with a bipolar switch from line to line. That said, by my age you’ve gotten used to perimenopausal mood swings, so it's fine.
This is an okay game, like 6/10, but I do not see myself replaying this game. My motivation to buy this was that the trailer was looking a lot like DEI-trash, BUT it has this promising/interesting "air" to it. So I went in to be disappointed by Flintlock, but got positively surprised to find out that this is a decent game. Not a good game but decent. So what is tthis game? I don't know, propably a bad version of a "Dark Souls" and "God of War" hybrid. You go around a Less then open world, you are on rails and even the more Open parts of the game feel more like a List to go through. But in being/doing that they do a Good job! I never feelt like "this mission is just another one of those" or "Man this is just here to slow down the Game" Everything feelt very well paced. So what is tthis game? I don't know, propably a bad version of a "Dark Souls" and "God of War" hybrid. You go around a Less then open world, you are on rails and even the more Open parts of the game feel more lik...
Underrated mix of devil may cry and maybe bloodeborne? I finished it at least, it kept me engaged for my sales price moneys worth I'd say.
