The Silent Kingdom

This game made my whole day. As someone who doesn't even play otome games of even VNs, it completely pulled me in. I've had it on my wishlist since seeing a post on the RPG Maker subreddit and regret not getting it sooner now. I haven't even finished all the available content and I'm legitimately upset I have to stop for the night to sleep. The story is excellent, and I'm thinking I might even just wait until full release to experience it all at once. It's going to be hard to resist but AAAAAAAH.

This game is an amazing blend of genres, it has been created masterfully. I have always wanted to play a game such as this! The soundtrack and art was on point and the story has amazing twists and turns that fall in place like a cogwheel. There are 2 ML, that both kept me on my toes throughout, on who I should choose. The story has an abundance of choices to be made :) (you can also choose neither of the ML). I went into the game blind and it was an amazing ride! There is actually quite a lot of content despite it being early access (the price of game is justified). Thank you Lucky cat, I am looking forward to part 2! My rating > 9.8/10 I would give it 10/10 because it is an indie game and it was so much fun to play, but I think since it is in early access, in some scenes it lacked a tinyyyy bit of polish. Amazing game! Highly recommend! ^^ The visuals and music are beautiful. There’s a big gallery of high-standard CGs that make the scenes feel more alive. The story is enchanting, full of twists, and keeps you engaged for hours. The pace is well balanced and doesn’t leave you bored. The characters have depth and are well-designed. Each has charm and intrigue. You can see a lot of love and hard work were put into developing the game. I enjoyed the interactions and choices a lot, and I can’t wait for chapter 2!

I rarely leave reviews on anything, but this game made such an impression on me I felt it would be a great injustice not to leave one! I am quite familiar with character focused rpgs that include romance routes and meaningful choices (dragon age series, baldurs gate 3) and otome visual novels. These are my favorite genres of games, so when I came across The Silent Kingdom, which was touted to blend rpg and otome elements, I was certainly intrigued. I find myself craving a game which satisfies my desire for a great story, interesting characters, intriguing romance that I can't help but squeal and fangirl over, and gameplay that isn't just me tapping the 'A' button for hours! The Silent Kingdom fulfills all of those, and is exactly the kind of game I want to play. I can't praise the developer enough for the clear time and effort they put into this game. I have never played an Otome game before but if they're anything like this OMG NEW OBSESSION! This game is a *chef kiss, absolute masterpiece and it's only early access. The art style, the characters, the writing, the story.. THE STORY *sobbbbs and swoooons.. and to think it's only one dev... insane talent! I cannot wait for the next chapters holy hell; it may kill me. 100/100000 recommend.

Wow. Now this is an otome game. The graphics, gamplay, polish and writing are on par what I would expect from a commercial game studio―but this was done by a solo developer. The story is gripping, it kept me wanting to read more, and I would've devoured the game in one sitting if I hadn't wanted to savour it. So far, I have played Chrono's route. The younger boy x older girl AND bodyguard/knight trope? Tailor made for me. His conflict between his loyalty to the princess and the brutality of the mission was well written and executed. My one critique is the romantic choices being quite obvious, but very minor detraction and something I know other otome game players prefer. This is the otome game I've longed for in my dreams to be able to play. Thank you, Lucky Cat!

ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE. This game brilliantly incorporates otome, dark fantasy, and a quick time-turn based rpg with gorgeous artwork and pixel environments. I couldn't stop playing. My one critique currently is some of the music choices are on repeat but I'm so excited for what our solo dev can do ♡
