Much about what made Star Shift Origins is present here in Star Shift Rebellion. Same systems, same graphics, same mechanics. While a sequel, it is not one that switches things up like many others out there that add in a new mechanic or throws in a different leveling or skill system. The first thing anyone is going to notice and speak out about is the use of AI in this game, just like in the previous game. Yes, it uses AI primarily for art when it comes to a number of characters and with making some of the javascript plugins. And while I will continue to not like the use of AI, I separated my dislike from this review and playthrough. There is still a small complaint about the lack of tutorials when it comes to skills and getting setup at first, and with the game being longer that the previous one, it can sometimes become a little tedious dealing with the skill tree for 7 party members.
