I am not a big fan of games that require controllers, but Panic Porcupine handles it smoothly and intelligently. The game itself is very easy to get into and ramps up the difficulty at just the right level. This is a fun one to run through, and I am already looking forward to multiple playthroughs. It is definitely the kind of game where I keep saying, "Just one more level and I will stop" before playing three more levels.

I played the demo for this back in 2023, and sat on the full game for a while. Watching it rot away in my wish-list, I finally decided to pick it up, and to say I regret waiting for that long would be an understatement. The game perfectly encapsulates every classic Sonic set-piece I loved from the original quadrilogy (including Sonic CD, not Sonic 4;) Lots of care went into level design, and while playing through it can be a difficulty sometimes, I always attribute that to my IGN level platforming skills, as the fantastic controls feel responsive and silky smooth. This game sure is a sleeper hit, and I would highly recommend you give it a fair shot. :)
